Only pilots having chutes is how it "should" be. But this game is far from realistic. I enjoy the parachute though. It would be an entirely different game if only pilots had it.

Well, it would actually make blackhawk pilots land their choppers instead of jumping out.

In real life, a Blackhawk would NEVER put down in a hot zone. EVER!
The troops would repell down. As I understand it, this is how it was origionally supposed to be in BF2, but certain difficulties made it impractical to use ropes for deployment.

if you want realism, there would be a seperate class for pilots, only equiped with handguns. all the other classes cant even get in the jets or choppers. (cuz they havent been trained as pilots) then all the jet/heli whores would respawn as pilots, so 80% - 90% of them have to fight with pistols and knives. how would you like that anyways? :P

Umm..pilots NEVER use a parachute.

If they are on fire and going down...they STAY IN THEIR PLANES SO THEY DIE. That way, they can respawn with their precious plane and continue whoring
