Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Just wondering how high people overclock their video cards. I have an ATI 9800 Pro 256 with an Arctic Cooling Rev 3 Fan and I'm overclocing it at 410/350, up from 378/337. My bf2 fps have risen by about 10 so far.
Hey, cool, an overclock thread. This should be quite interesting.
I'm running (as I'm sure just about everyone knows by now, I've posted it so many time) a ATI Radeon 9600 AIW Pro 128mb with an Artic Cooling Rev 3 GPU cooler, OCed at 465/324 up from 400/324. I get about 4-5 fps extra, and it never dips below 30 (when not OCed it goes down to 20-)
It was 450/345 until put in the Rev 3, and that blocks the air flow from a fan I installed just below it to blow on the RAM. So I can't OC the VGA RAM much anymore until tomorrow when I get my Vantec Copper RAMsinks, and hitch the fan to the side of my case to blow straight across the board. Then I'm going to Vmod it, too.
I figure since I've got a lousy board for OCing my RAM and CPU, I might as well take something to the limit.
6800 vanilla 256 mb 432/850 kingwin cooling from stock 325/600, can't tell exact fps improvement, but my video setting are
res 1260*1024
with terrain, effect, geometry textrure on HIGH;
lightnig, shadows, dynamic light on medium,
AA x 2,
Texture Filtering on high.
Before oc'ing was 1024 x 768 with all HIGH but Dyn Light on MEDIUM, no AA.
For Nvidia.....watch the temps and maybe look at aftermarkte cooling but this worked GREAT!!! for my 6800GT. Haven't done it on my 7800GTX cause it's already OC'ed
"Coolbits
Go to Start>Run and type regedit to open the registry editor
Next go to the keyname
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\S OFTWARE\NVIDIA Ccorporation\ Global, and click on NVTweak
l Right click on the pane on the right side, click on New and select ‘DWORD value’. A new value will be
created and displayed in the right pane
Rename this value as coolbits and set its default value to 3 by right clicking on the Entry and then clicking on Modify
Close the registry and restart Windows
If you catch ALL the blue smoke and put it back it will work again!"
well heres a thing....if ur forceware control panel doesnt allow u to overclock without using coolbits..then u shouldnt cuz that feature was prob...taken out of normal users meaning that it shouldnt help with performance if u over clock it and itll create more problems

So according to you overclocking doesn't help performance? You really think that?
