I allways apoligize and I deserve to get punished if I do something really stupid . If it's accidental then I don't punish and it would be nice if I didn't get punished but some ppl just punish out of spite.

I only punish really careless TK's, 4 example I revived a guy and the first thing he does is shoot me and doesn't even take my kit & revive me...

sometimes I don't even punish those kinds of morons if the apoligize.

I always say sorry when I can, but most times, I wished I hadn't. Usually, I say sorry, and straight away they punish me. Sometimes they punish me b4 I even get the chance, so I don't bother with the apology.

One of the best ones happened recently. I accidentally tk'd some poor bugga and I went through the usual routine of apologising. I thought, no worries, I'm a medic, I'll revive him. Just as I'm about to zap him, he punishes me. So I just lie there next to him, taunting him with the defib, as he's yelling "Medic! Medic!" repeatedly. That was pure bliss watching him fade away.

Well since 99% of those tks probably came from planes/artillery/car-running over, its kind of annoying to stop and press the sorry button, especially if youre flying

I do understand that its hard to even type or do a radio comand if you are in a dog fight. So ya.. I guess I can see your point also. I had this happen to me one time. I let a few fly right on enemy flag and killed 3 enemy and one teammate. I didn't even notice I killed a teammate and then about 10 seconds later I get punished for it. As we all know the default now on the patch 1.03 is forgive TK if you let the question just sit there after 12 seconds. But this guy punished me because I didn't say sorry? Bah!

Whenever I get Tk'ed, I always wait for the person who TK'ed me to say sorry, if he/she doesn't in about 15 seconds, then I punish.

Your idea is noble in its design, but that just teaches jerks to TK without punishment and that an apology is just an empty tool to prevent punishment. Essentially, they can be bad and the word "sorry" means "you can't do anything to me".

Like steel said, I rarely even see that I have tk'd soemone unles it was right in front of me, quite often I hit the tab button halfway through a round and see a minus teamwork score and then say "wtf? when did that happen?"

Don't forget you can also get minus points for 'Team Vehicle Damage'. Which I personally think is about stupid.

HAHAH!! I did this exact same thing. Also, I got TK right in the back on purpose before the actual round started (there was no enemy around). What did he do? He typed "LOL, sorry couldn't resist". Soooo... the next round when we finally had enough guys in the server he was wounded several times witch just a tad bit of red above his name. I was the only medic on our team of 12. He kept following me around all over the map wanting me to lay down a med pack. My response "GET LOST". He would die, and scream "Medic!Medic!" I would just lay there say "NO WAY MAN" He was beyond ****ed. He finally went medic after about 3 deaths. LOL! :laugh: :laugh:

I always say sorry, even if I'm driving or (yes, honestly) flying.

have I crashed while saying 'sorry'? No! Only takes a moment, although it takes longer if I'm in the middle of a dogfight in a jet, since I have to get into a slightly good position before I can say it and still avoid being shot down.

No, I get punished almost all the time these days. Although it doesn't affect points (I think someone else posted a good thread here the other day showing that it didn't, in fact) it does eventually get you kicked if it happens a few times.

I always try to say Sorry when I TK by mistake.
I have never intentionally TK my team...it's usually someone running over a mine (Which I do not place on main roads by my bases and if I do I will pick them up prior to leaving) or a frag that I let go and just as I do I see someone running right to the area I threw it (sighs).
Seems like more times though I see the Punish come in and not even know I did TK one of my players.
I don't punish 98% of the time. I punish getting shot in the back while trying to get into a vehicle and someone else wanted it more I guess. And those who jump into vehicles and just take off with no regaurds of who is in front of them.
I usually play medic a lot and I take note of the Punishers, They will never get a heal or revive from me, I don't care if we are the last 2 players on the team and are trying to cap a flag to save the game.

The problem is that the code has to make TK'ing distinguishable from accidents. This can be done by doing a radar snapshot of the incident. If no enemy was within X number of meters to the TK, then it was most likely intentional. If a teammate shoots you in the back with an enemy right next to you, chances are that:

a. just bad aim
b. enemy ran behind you, putting you between the two of them
c. nametag bug (if it's still alive out there), or
d. lag

The thing is that if the enemy is nowhere near you, such as the aircraft carrier and you get popped for taking some dude's helo, then that was intentional. And running in front of your jet/tank/jeep? That should be forgiveable on the first offense. Once that happens a couple times in a row, the offender is automatically kicked for either intentionally getting himself TK'd to get to punish you or being too much of a moron to not figure out how to dodge a vehicle.

Don't put too much faith in the other players. It's a 99% letdown. Putting faith in a stranger that you haven't played with before is like brushing with toilet brush--you just don't know if it's safe.

I generally give the offending TK'er about 15 seconds to apologize before I decide not to forgive. You don't have to write me a novel, just the automated "Sorry!" is usually adequate.

I'm generally forgiving, with a few exceptions.

Pilots, if you decide to carpetbomb the base I have almost finshed capturing, you risk a TK punish.

If you go out of your way to run me over, you risk a TK punish.

If you shoot me so that you can take the jeep, heli, jet, vending machine I'm at/near/in, you're getting TK punished, and I just might go out of my way to make your day miserable.

Subnote: If someone is "whoring" something that you want, have you ever tried *asking* instead of doing the "I'm 12 and angry and shooting you!" routine? Ditto with flying/driving with an established co-pilot/gunner? Just say "Hey, I'm flying with a friend/clannie/instructor/probation officer..." and see if they comply.

Sure, there are an awful lot of Alpha-Henries out there, but the only one you need to be concerned with is the one at your computer.
