o.k. I have deleted all related files, bf2, patches, pb and cleaned all the cache files. I reinstalled the game and the 1.03 patch and I'm still getting kicked back to desktop before I ever get in the game, before the EA games logo intro pops up. I also jumped back a few days in the system restore to the last day I was on. and still nothing. I'm frustrated as hell right now and can't figure out what is up. Does anyone else have a suggestion that hasn't been tried. This is crazy, one day it's fine, then the next nothing.

If you unistalled and cleaned drivers with drivercleaner and reinstalled drivers, and then later do a System Restore I'm pretty sure you are just making it worse.

I suggest to do this in this order and don't touch System Restore:

Uninstall and resintall video drivers this way:

Then uninstall and make sure to delete everthing BF2 related, that also means your profiles for BF2, in fact the entire Battlefield 2 folder in My Documents.

Uninstall normally or manually either way look in link below on how to uninstall manually, then you can check after you uninstalled BF2 that everything has indeed been removed:

Tried all that, so i pussed out, and reformatted the whole system, needed it anyways, there was so much bs on the system from my kids and wife that it was just better to clean it all out. Back up and running now with no problems. Thanks to everyone that gave advise.
