Hard poll. I prefer neither.

Paintball feels like something that's more generally accepted. Arcadish and fast.

Airsoft is more like role play and you need people that like the same kind of game. But it's more tactical and satisfies other things than just the will to induce a little pain onto others.

I have a 'Cocker ($1200)
and a arisoft M700--its like a m24($250)

both are fun, i like Paintball more mainly because they aren't all whiny bitches

A lot of times, people bash airsoft when they haven't even tried it. I prefer airsoft because...

Contrary to popular belief, there is not as much cheating in airsoft as you might think. Most players play honorably, and when someone cheats, it is strikingly obvious.

I would say airsoft because the guns arew cooler and overall its cheaper...but its not as fun and you cant tell when you hit someone because its just a plastic BB whereas a paintball will leave a mark...in more ways that one...

Airsoft is a lot more realistic. You use proper militaryweapons and equipment, and its a lot more enjoyable.

paintball does that 2wice as better,m we actually use real tanks!

This thread got me interested in Airsoft. I went googling about this, I wanna buy one now. Someone pls help me get started, recommend me the best gear to get. I'm willing to spend around $500. thanks.

Questions:
1)Electric,Gas or Spring? Is electric as good as gas?
2)Pistol or Rifle? I might get both. Is there a difference?
3)Upgrades? What are these for?

If you're good enough, paintball is free including guns, gear, paint, airfare and entry fees.

Don't know how evolved the airsoft tourney circuit is if there is one.

pb all the way i played airsoft and yes it was fun but its for pussys pb might be more expensive but its WAY more fun. And if you have a decent job you can afford it. And where do you guys get paint i get 2000 for 30 bucks and c02 for a dollar 20 for a 20oz. Oh yea You CAN play it in your backyard and even inside your house. you'll just have to face the consequences.

paint ball is really fun, i played Airsoft but paintball was more fun, yes very expensive. Also the Place where i play has a cool area Called Black Hawk Down, its basicall whichever team holds a Point in the middle (a actual BH too!!) at the end of the round wins, Let me tell you that is some crazy **** goin on theres lots of cover, but inside the blackhawk you can see the whole field and basicall pick people off. Very intense.
