You are pretty dumb. I have never in my life heard of of fighter pilot going to bomb a carrier with a truck load of AA armaments at its dispose and expect to come out alive. I can sit in the Carriers Air defence for hours why a scrub like you flys around me 10 time while I'm shooting it with out success and after he's is done playing around with me bombs me too hell.

Hmm, perhaps you should familiarize yourself with modern combat, that is, modern comat not as in US bombing Iraq incase thats what you are thinking about.

Let me familiarize you with something, true, mordern planes dont bomb deck of carrier, but since BF map is only so big you cant have anti ship missiles can you? In real life a jet can launch a missile from 100km away and achieve the same effect to the carrier as I would bomb it with my jet. In that case you dont even see who shot you.

In real life no pilot will fly within AA range of carrier, the AA gun on carriers are anti-missiles, since only any missile will actually fly within their range.

In real life, people like you wont even live to whine about how they got killed by that "unbalanced" anti-ship missile.

iewgem, this is Battlefield 2, this is a game, not real-life. Battlfield 2 has to be balanced for the sake of gameplay and fun even if it means contradicting real-life facts. It's no lie that aircrafts are overpowered here because of the fact that AA is weak and useless.

BF1942 had Flak cannons that punched holes in aircrafts
BF:Vietnam had missiles that didn't veer off toward the ground at the last second before impact on its target.

Please, not use real-life examples to prove a point in a game.

Well buddy if this was real life which it isn't, cruiser would be well defenced by the PATRIOT MISSILE system. Thus you shouldn't be able to bomb a carrier with out being shot down in you gay j-10 fighter.


I bet you suck when it comes too ground combat and fear of flying a helio with your alarm going off every 5 seconds and have to take evasive action just too stay alive.

I dont know why everyone bitches about airpower. The only time it becomes a factor is when you have planes bombing a bunch of idiots standing in a cluster waiting for the chopper. If your going to stand out in the open screaming "lolz i wants my plaen!!1", then of course your're going to get killed! Quit whining, In my opinion the game is very balenced, if you keep getting killed in one spot, MOVE! Quit being a target, and dont stand in a cluster of 10 guys holding down the "E" button, so you can get that chopper, fly it, and end up crashing into a tree, so you can try the whole process over again. Planes are not a factor if you truly are into ground combat, they cant see individual troops, only ground vehicles, so dont sit still in the open with 30 other people.

the Plane and Helio whores are ruining this game for me.

It just has got so frustrating playing this game that I wish I didn't waste 50 bucks on it and makes me wanna go install BF42 and DC and have some fun.

i dont want to be an A$s reign, but if your not enjoying the game and having fun, why do u keep playing, you have 240 hrs+ that like 10 solid days, i love the game too but only have like 40hrs or so.

also in ur sig stats it says ur fav vehicle is a helo.does that not make u a whore? and what is a whore any way? someone who is in a plane and helo and uses its guns to kill you? wow thats soooo unfair!

I think you'll agree though it is easier to find cover from a helo in most cases, rather than a jet which blanket bombs an area. The splash damage is very likely to kill you.

Yes, I really hope that this isn't just a rumour, or someone was mistaken. I don't mind if there are a few maps with jets, fine. I just want a couple more without overwhelming air power (in the hands of good pilots), like Karkand. Just two or three maps atleast.

In all reality 98% of all these "im a good pilot guys" arnt really that good at all.

In fact, mr. pilot think about this........

You arnt good.......the AA is bad.
Think about that for a while.

In Desert Combat, they had shoulder fired AA stinger kits.
Trust me on this.......the best pilots in the game, RARELY made the casual, come in to a flag, and bomb it, without dying. And most of them never attacked a flag, without making sure AA was down. Typically a great DC pilot would make a gun attack first and get the AA down, then start bombing it. AND, if the pilot realized that a really GOOD stinger infantry was at that flag.......they usually never even bothered with that flag. Which meant.....time for Ground FOrces to operate.
Which is how it should be. AA should be feared by pilots. That is simply not how it is now.

Well one of the new choppers in SF (I think its the HIND) will carry passengers, and have missles. So it is basically a transport chopper that can not only drop off troops at a flag, but can blow up armor. I garuntee you that someone will complain about that when the expansion comes out.

it was written, that the majority of flags in Special Forces are NOT accessible to tanks or copters. So if your in a tank, or copter the amount of points recieved by capping flags will be very slim..........to none even.
The hind, is a really, really, big target. We'll have to wait and see. Course if the AA still sucks, wont matter will it? lol
How about grappling hook into the back of a hind, and then knifing the crew and pilot? lol wheeee

Your right about that :laugh: but if you play on a server that had the harrier, oh yeah, it would bomb the heck out of everything and still fly like nothing, plus, it was really tough never saw one go down by stinger, i'll take that back i saw one, and also they could turn on a dime, anyways, there will alwasy be winers so waaa fracking waaaa cry me a river

you can sit in AA all day and not hit one jet, get bombed every time you spawn, try to piolt the Helio you get TKed with a M95 to the dome or c4ed and so on.

Vanilla BF2 players are just too selfish. Mods where players play the game the way it is supposed to be played like PRMM have no servers. It just has got so frustrating playing this game that I wish I didn't waste 50 bucks on it and makes me wanna go install BF42 and DC and have some fun.

In all I know SF will have helios but I think with out the jets whoring all over the place it will be truly a balanced game.

Hm, I'm sure you guys will find something to **** and moan about when you start playing SF...
