    amd 64 can run on normal windows xp, but it will run at 32 bit, not 64, the new intel socket 775 has em64t which is 32/64 bit, amd is better at gaming, but intel has ddr2 ram whilst amd is still using ddr

        The problem with XP64 is that it lacks drivers for certain products. Canon for example only produce drivers for their top printer (Pixma i9000) and have no plans to produce any more.

        So check what gear you have and if it's all supported than yeah, try XP64. Works great for me !
