memtest.com is one of the best for memory but it takes hours to finish.

        Microsoft have one too :

BTW, from what I've seen on the Web, it's a a memory problem. Do you know someone who could let you use their memory just to see if it works better?

            Sometimes memory goes bad.

A lot of people found that they couldn't install the 1.03 patch properly. When they ran memtest it turned out that it was low quality and BF2 was pushing it past it's physical limits.
While on a day-to-day basis you won't notice any problem as soon as you use an application, like BF2, that demands a lot of memory you'll get memory errors.

                Re: Blue Screen!

Yes, perfectly normal in some cases. I bought a HD that lasted 4 months while the other has been ok for 2 years now.

The last memory I bought lasted 2 weeks before it began to find errors but I had bought it at 1/2 the normal price.

If you do have a memory problem then it's sure that you had the dodgy memory all along but never noticed it.

                    lol

                    Depends on :

                    a) What country you live in.

                    b) What make/model motherboard you have.

Memory type is based on what your motherboard is able to support. If you don't know what type of motherboard you have then download SiSoft Sandra 2005 (shareware) and it'll tell you in the "Mainboard Information module" section.

On average you're talking about $110 for 1Gb

try the above and this below......

Its punkbuster, it doesnt like one of your drivers, until you find it, the game won't run right. On my comp it was the iomega zip driver, deleted it and all is fine. Its not your memory, not over heating, nothing just BF2/punkbuster.

Also try deleting the enitre BF2 folder in my documents, empty recycling bin, reboot, rerun the game. It wll replace the entire folder and its contents will be updated.
