Basic Knife aaaarrrrrrggggg!!!!!!

OMG I give up. I cant bloody get the basic knife. I'm not a crap player, most of the time im in the top three. But I just cant get the basic knife. I'm trying to get it on Karkand. I can easily get knife kills at the start when there is intense fighting but when the USA take the first flag then it all goes downhill.

Can somebody please give me some pointers as to how the hell I'm supposed to get 7 knife kills in 1 round???

Play on a server with a large map and a few players, then you atleast got some time...

i got both my basic knife and veteran knife on full 64 karkand servers, just knife them when they are having close combats which involve alot of ppl, especially those in the alley when medics are busy reviving ppl. so u dont get killed that easily cuz most of them dont know what they are shooting at. or u can stay at a spawn point, once an enemy respawns, knife him. he wont even realize what has happened before he needs to wait another 10 seconds to respawn again.

follow this idea, with a little practice, u should be able to knife 5 ppl in a row on karkand without many problems.

I just got basic knife today. Played karkand, 32 man server. I could just imagine the newspapers:

Knife-wielding maniac terrorises Karkand residents

A rabid, frothing-at-the-mouth lunatic was spotted today at the city of Karkand. Eyewitness reports talked of a mad, spriting engineer stalking the back alleys around the hotel, stabbing all in his path.

One MEC soldier (who survived the brutal stabbing only after being defribulated at the scene) said how he "was just sitting around waiting to noobtube the next USMC sucker that came around the corner, when suddenly I got knifed in the back!"

More than forteen knife fatalities were reported over the round due to this insane "HicRic".

So basically, I ran around and snuck up on people at the flag, and in the alleys and got some knifes in. I think I was quite lucky in some places. I chose to be engineer because I was going for veteran engineer as well as the knife award. And with two tickets to go, I finally hit 21 kills and got it as well! Had about 14 knife kills, the rest were a mix of grenades and AT mines.

My key tactic was to use the knife constantly. I'd run across roads, hide around corners, and use the UAV to sneak up on people (the commander kept UAVing the hotel). Even when the US took that CP there was enough fighting around the square to get some stabbings in.

Just remember, never put your knife away! You'd be surprised at how many chances you can get some times.

And I got called a 'knife whore'. I was so proud!

Bunnyhopping might work too, but I don't like doing it because I prefer the sprinting to jumping. And being engineer means you get armour, which can sometimes keep you alive a tad longer.

engineer doesnt have armor, only support, AT and assault have armor.

Armor yes, karkand yes, maybe medic to heal thyself but more likely take the armor. Need lotsa people not spread out vehicle action] and if they take the first MEC flag then work to get at the alleyway where the US spawn there. Also play in a good size squad so you can spawn in the thick of it a few times versus back and having to run a bit to get to the action and have a second spawn choice.

Advanced would be take a jeep from MEC and drive the back way all the way around behind the US armor area. Drive back down the road to the right side US arty and park your jeep on the right or left spawn at the building. You'll force spawning on the other spawn point and be able to pick up a few cheap kills.

PS - No rule against switching teams if US takes first flag, cheap move but your playing for yourself this time. Could catch abunch of MEC's in the alleys or coming into the flag area to retake it.

The basic premise is to keep trying. I had so much fun in getting my Basic and veteran, did it in 88 stabbings. Snipers are the easiest to butcher... Karkand offers much opportunity. I found USMC medic to be the best. Great sprint and you can heal thy self.

go down the left side to the spawn alley. Stick the guy that spawns infront of you and continue out to the fixed machine gun and get that guy too. Now look for the Anti tank guy waiting on your armor or the spec ops with his c4. rinse and repeat. I stabbed the same commander 4 times each time in the same hiding place, people are predictable.

If in doubt drop and stab a leg....


But most of all have fun doing it!

Just get two friends, have them be medics on one team and you be on the other. Then just knife one and have the other teammate revive him until you get it. Simple as that.

Yeah sharky or karkand just save ur sprint run learn to run and jump then prode ,then stub in one movement then jump straight up to look around.Do this to groups on the ground hopefully healing each other x2 or 3 kill .Be medic heal and leave a trail for others,sometimes a good old player on the other side will see you want a knife fight and drop his weapon .

You then proceed to have a 2 minute knife fight in the middle ov a street,in the middle of a war ! .Then finally stab to the head!! hes gone down !.Only to look up and everyone`s made a ring around you chanting kill !, kill! and both armies a making bet`s
