I had to run around several maps over several hours to get the knife badge and some guys just ask a friend to help them... I'll knife you super if I see u.

the positive thing was I got both basic and vet badge at tha same time, wont even go for the expert, not that big a deal 4 me.

Its a clitch u cant get basic u have to get 7 the you get both at once! :cry: .Alot of first sergents are there?:cry: just missed mine by 1000 points

Just get two friends, have them be medics on one team and you be on the other. Then just knife one and have the other teammate revive him until you get it. Simple as that.

that would be the definition of 'pathetic' and 'lame' all in one. I'd rather NOT have a badge than 'earn' it in this loser way.

you need the basic knife badge to get promoted to 1st sergeant

yes but if u had 1.03 at say 19000 point`s went for knife badge then! you would only get vet and basic at the same time ruleing first sergent out(clitch) seen many posts

But u don't loose anything if u get the knife badge and see if u get promoted to 1st sarge

Seems like master sarge is a staff position and 1st sarge is field position.

i never use the knife, even if the chance of successfully knifing someone is very high i'd rather use my primary weapon.
also, the times i've knifed someone... its been a b!tch as you gotta be standing right next to them... the distance of knifing seems to be much different then cs knifing... maybe its coz of the lag, don't know

Is it 7 or 5 knife kills for the basic badge ? UBAR says 7 knife kills and so do some people and other say 5 knife kills.

Basic....I've gotten basic about 10 times thanks to account server fopars. If you have a hard time getting 7....wait till you go for expert.

And being a good player doesn't mean your good with the knife. Diffrent tactics and stealth are involved with the knife. Running around with your knife out is just asking to be shot.

That's why it is so hard to get. You basically have to get lucky and find an idle player on the other team...

Sharqi works well too. The hills to the South of the first USMC spawn point are usally riddled with MEC snipers. Thats usually good for at least 3 knifings. One MEC gets some spawn points you can usally get the final kills lurkng around the construction site.
