Easy. Never played MMORPG? In any MMORPG to get points fast, you don't care about teamwork and other ******** as long as it doesn't help you level fast.

Some people call them whores. Dunno, they just gather points. Stop complaining and do the same.
Because we all know battefield 2 is meant to be played for points, and that points were meant to test how fast you can revive someone after your friend on the other team knifes him. EA just put the winning and losing feature in the game so they could have an excuse to play all that cool music when the match ends.

Don't get me wrong, I like seeing at the end of the round that I had a good round and won a medal, but I really don't care much about reaching the next rank. I got the unlocks that I want and now I just play for fun and to help my team win. Much more enjoyable. I second the "just play and don't think about it."
I agree evil.... and that's what I think is the best thing about the patch... the point and rank whores no longer have any incentives. In fact.... wonder of all wonders...... everybody seems to now be playing for fun and... wait! Can I really be saying this???... Actually try to incorporate some teamwork into their games! Take me now God.... I've seen it all!

I play for fun and always have done; points, awards and unlocks are just a distraction from the pursuit of happiness and the root of all evil in BF2 land...

Also if you play for badges you can try out stuff you might not normally do or use a kit you wouldn't normally and you might find you like it and it will bring a whole new aspect to the game.
I have to say that I agree with Psycho. I can't realistically play for hours on end and the real joys come with attaining a small goal. Ya, I like playing teamwork and letting the points come but when I got that knife badge - HOLY COW was I happy!!! That took me a lot of hard work. That is what I play for. Lately, I've been trying to get the vet assault badge but I didn't have enough time on the kit - it's kinda forced me to play assault and I like it. I might even take the g3 on my next unlock instead of the m95.
