I tried that back in the day and I had to keep it due to the fact I opened it.. No store will let you take back something that has been opened unless it is used. No matter what.
But I got past that with Star Wars force commander. I brought it new and it had a glitch. So I took it back for another and it did the same damn thing! It was like that batch was whacked.
So after taking it back so many times they gave me my money back lol. Then I took back Reign of fire because it also had a real glitch in it. Every damn copy I had skipped. Then I had that DBZ Broly movie.
Every copy was scratched becaue it would come out the disc holder in the case and get scratched. So NO YOU CANNOT BRING THEM BACK UNLESS YOU FIND LOOP HOLES!

If you are not happy with your game for ANY reason, EA will refund your money IN FULL (minus S&H) Not sure if it 30, 60 or 90 day guarantee, but they WILL.
If the game disk is defective, you can always go to the place you bought it & they will exchange it for another one. If they don't, then I wouldn't ever do business with them. They WON'T refund money on games or music because of the bootlegging factor.
Sounds to me like you have a bad cd-rom drive to me. I have never had a game scratched to where it screwed up in all my years of playing pc games.
Keith Maniac you are missing the point. What we have here is a plausible case of false advertising, and it must be dealt with accordingly. If we, the consumer sit by idly, then sooner or later our precious BF2 is going to become pay-to-play just like WoW ("improvement"). If you've bought the game, you've bought rights to bitch and moan about bugs, glitches, mis-balances and all that hoo-haa.
You've also bought the rights to cut EA and Dice off at the knees for screwing you around with faulty/incomplete software.
What I am hoping for is that EA will learn that the public is angry at the fact that EA is dropping games just to make a quick buck in this case a quick $50.
If enough of us write to the Better Business Bureau EA will have no choice but to add what was planned to make all the sites correct, fix the general information to not add the features that were not included in the game, might be forced to fix the many bugs they said were going to be fixed in this 3rd patch, give us all a refund which I could love right now, or they could just screw us over and lose our cash for their next hits.

They got your 30 bucks... They got my 30 bucks... and a tens of thousands
of other peoples, as well..
That was their primary goal... NOT finishing the game.. nor supporting it.
Whatever your line of work is.. try doing 90% of it...then stopping..
Push it..Sell it..whatever.... see how far YOU get that way? Not far
probably...perhaps even fired... EA hasnt this worry.. major corporation
got all our money..use our own money to defend against any litigation.
sadly a lot of game companies are well developed in the scam dept.
We could always use the fact that they are not giving us the support to enjoy the products that we have brought.
It is called consumer satisfaction. And I am not satisfied. All companies are obligated to take care of all our needs that have to do with their product.
Or think of it this way. The game was broke before we could touch it!!!
OK- I went through the BBB complaint forms and got my 2-cents in. Dont ask for a refund- ask for them to fix the problems. Everyone has different complaints, i can assume that alot are going to be the same. Please do touch on the fact that the advertising of said "extra's" were not included. We will see what happens............
