Do you mean that your shouldn't run 32 bit application on Windows x64??
As of now not many applications and games aren't specifically written in 64, so you'll have no choice with BF2, and they should run just fine, as long as they don't require special access to core Windows systems.
Drivers is another matter because they have to execute 64 bit instructions and have access to core part of Windows and have to be made for x64. That also includes utils that install drivers, like virtual drives.
