Of course it wouldnt be battlefield, and removing vehicles would be simply rediculous, and turn it into a crap game. However the new path Dice has taken with vehicles ruling everything with relative ease, is not something i apriciate at all. I wont adapt, ill continue to hate those HE apc shells (lol, apc, like its usually used for that), and BH's ability to absorb hit after hit untill the mods come out, then you wont hear me anymore

yeah some things are a bit rough but there are still some patches to come innit? the game is still too new, remember when bf1942 came out? didn even have a hit indicator :P and some other things:p

I just with the vehicles where more like the real ones, and dident juts blowup on impact, so dumb.

You do realize that the real world BH is built liek a tank and even has redundant controls incase it does take damage...Look it up, this is also the reason why the BH is used by every major country in the world (including China)...

Lets think about your logic...so your saying a single infantry man would be able to take out a APC???? or that a Hummer would be able to take on a Tank...no the bigger the machine the more power and destruction it has...I know it sucks gettign owned by a tnak or an APC...we all hate it but it's life and it is part of the game and thus it makes it that much more rewarding when you do take one of those bastards out

i know man, i cant live without GR, i just reinstalled it again, i got a small group i still play with. I cant wait for GRAW to comeout, BF2 is just a hold me over :)

Do you realize that in real life, those shoulder mounted anti-tank rounds are designed to destroy a tank in 1 shot....If you're gonna make the vehicles real, make the weapons that were designed to destroy them real, no?

i think a few of u will remember havting to jump all around inorder just to get a plane back in 1942. there would be no BF any thing with out the vehicles, thats what sets BF2 apart from other games. you can "specalize" in a certan vechicle. or eavin a class. if vehicles are driving you nuts learn a new method to deal with them. for example if a tank is attacking a base and you are a lonly sniper who wants to get past, take out your pistle and shoot at it in a diffrent direction from were you want to cross 9/10 people will look at the direction the noise is comming from allowing you to run across. works great for C4 also if your in a squad get another person to distract it.

i was just in a server playing, i was mec and we where getting raped at our last flag. I got on a jeep ran over a guy got in a boat went to another flag, then was chased by a APC, set a trap and got him. took the flag then got bombed. ahh good fun.

They are right to complain, vehicles in BF2 are much, much more powerfull then in bf1942, and besides the helicopters, battlefield vietnam as well. I didnt see anyone in BF1942/BF:V get a score in a PanzerIV/Sheridan of 100+. and in bf1942, only the best of the best could approuch such a score in a plane.

this is not true, in BF1942 it was to easy to fly a plane, every bomb you drop was a hit, you could fly full speed into a hangar and get repaired instead of crashing.

Tanks where as powerfull as they are now, you could get very big scores with those thing.

And about the infantry in BF1942, sniping was so easy you couldn't almost miss, and many other stuff

what i would like out of a tank is slower turret rotation and slower speeds, now i know that many tanks top speed are like 40MPH, but they only do that in open areas. Also it would be nice to drive over walls and small objects.

Anti tank dudes cant carry way too many rounds, 6 OMG thats heavy, and the missles dont do much damage.

I love how in 1.03 you can jump on tanks and be ok, i jump on enamy tanks and ride them tell i get tired, the C4 them. :)

Battlefield comunity is ruined since BF2 came out... Great game but too many new ppl to the game that came from games with no vehicles,

lets make this clear, everyone says stuff about "take tanks and apc's away because of whores" "take planes away beacuse of whores" "take helis away because of whores".... this stuff is really getting stupid... dont u ppl remember what game you are playing? i'll give u a hint (its not counter strike).

if dice made all the changes to the game that alot of ppl wanted this is what we would get:

-Only city maps
-no vehicles
-only playing in team and no lone wolves wich do alot of great work in my oppinion(friggin hell bf1942 had no squads and i saw alot better teamwork there than in bf2)

now with these features what game would u get? i'll give u a hint (its counter strike)

so ppl instead of saying stupid things against vehicles, why dont you just leave BF2 for once and go play something else that suits you better huh?

i'm not much of a vehicle player but i also wasnt in bf1942 and vietnam aswell, but i like to use them sometimes and they give an amazing feeling to the game, i just think alot of ppl in the currently playing bf2 are in the wrong game.

I kinda agree with you but, It wasn't Battlefield 2 that ruined the community, it was the ranking system. The Battlefield franchise was better off without it. If you think about it, that's where all this whore sh*t is coming from. To me it's the people that refuse to jump into an APC/Tank/Chopper/Plane and whip some butt that mess up this game. If they would stop treating this game like its AA:SF or CS, and treat it like it's supposed to be, we wouldn't have all this crap happening.

In the previous Battlefield games I never once heard anything about being a whore on anything. BF2 comes along, with a ranking/scoring system, then we get "crane whore"...give me a break.

well, no, EA/Dice are seeing if they will release a patch or not, its not even sertain there will be one, let alone 2, NO FAITH i have.

Its not build like a tank, one rpg would take it down (yes BH down is not a fantasy tale), let alone a high tech SRAW. leave real life out of this.

And yes, a single infantry man should be able to take out most vehicles on their own given the right tools. There is nothing wrong with it, as long as the vehicles maintain their usefullness. BF1942 did it, BF:V did it to some extent. The way its going, people in the vehicles get the upper hand over pretty much everyone without even trying to hard.

As i like to put it.. "The results one can get in a plane or een helicopter are disporportionate to the amount of skill and efford used"

Crane whore thats awesome but yah people are to much of a baby and it annoys me and to prove my point i was playing on Wake started out the game hoped right into the jet didnt get shot down once about 20 mins into they game some dude i think it was like jetace or something starts complaing about how im a jet whore and have been in it the whole time and he wants to fly and blah blah blah so im like screw it i will roll around on the ground for a bit so i bail out and let it go down to respawn it respawns he hops in takes off and hits a tree so im just like ok let him do it again he takes off and shoots down are own heli .. so i laugh in the chat and tell him if he cant fly he shouldnt be wasting a jet so what does he do he calls me a whore and bombs me then leaves the server......its people like that that make the game crap
