What? Where are you getting .44 from?
I'm getting all my data from the BF2 editor looking at BF2 v1.03, and it's clearly stated in the material editor that the modifier when shooting at armored and normal bodies is .5
It doesn't make any sense otherwise. All soldiers have 100 health, and 190 * .44 is 83.6, instead of 95 which is the correct damage value.
Even though the M95 does "190 damage" it only does 95 damage versus people from the .5 modifier. So you might as well go ahead and say it does 95 damage because no one really cares that it does 38 damage to helicopters, or any other thing it'll damage.
