I have both too, and the DAO-12 is much better IMO, plus you can interrupt the reload cycle.

yes, and you also get that awesome animation bug... you know, when the the guy reloads and shoots at the same time...

Love the Jackhammer.

I've got the DAO-12 also...and its also a great weapon. But...I really like the ability to repair. The AT kit won't let you do that. Sooo...Jackhammer it is.

when two shotgun goes face to face, jackhammer will win.

Also, when shotting against an armored person, DAO does 8 per pellet while Jackhammer does 10 per pellet, this can be a matter between life and death.

Frankly, I found jackhammer to be very effective. It's different from DAO (which is a more defensive shotgun). it's more like a strike shotgun to be used against one or two at a time.

The Jackhammer isn't to bad but I prefer the DAO.

That DAO is a pain in the arse if you are playing Spec Ops!! Noticed it a lot more since the patch and there are more unlocks. See more engineers in tanks who jump out when you are try to C4 them, they open up with the DAO and you have no chance. At close range it is lethal.

After practicing with the Jackhammer last night I come to the conclusion it kills one guy really well but then usually chokes on its' limited ammo when taking out the second. It's possible, and I did do it a few times, to take out multiple targets but it's just not as easy or assured as some other guns.

I agree with you on this - the Jackhammer is pretty flaccid, good for 1-2 kills at best.

In a related issue, I squeezed 3 kills out of the M11-87 last night - killed an assault guy, spec ops guy, then a support guy before withdrawing with two bars of health left.

I still stand by the awesome power of the pump shotguns.

No, I don't jump at all... but I do mess with range a lot. Move in really close, strafe around targets, etc.

It confuses the hell out of them.

I use to not do it but lately I have. It's instict rather then tactic really... One of those EEEE! EEEEEEEE! DON'T KILL ME!!!! HURRY!!!! RELOAD!!! moments :laugh:


I need to make it a point to strafe more. :)

But really the pump ones seem stronger and it's just plan cool to drop a dude then (pump) drop another lol.

Yeah, the same map I was practicing my Jackhammer, karkand, some guy was camping the southern most MEC outpost under the arch must have gotten 10 kills from people spawning and him putting a boomstick to their brain. When you spawned you didn't even have time to turn around an see him before he got you.
