I liek karkland..like.
I used to love it, excellent place to get ranks do the ability to score obsene ammounts of points is you resonably skilled.
THO..the big dislikes..
Its repetitive...i can some up a karkland round in 1 paragraph..

USMC rushes fence, MEC does same...Noob toobers go crazy and TK everyone, Grenade spammers do the same....here come the tanks from the USMC side. They lay a few peopel out and keep moving, all the while some sneaky guys are goign to the back to get the back MEC bases. MEC point whores dont care they want the big points form the CQC at the fence. If the MEC is smart they have there tank, or no one cares about back defense and USMC Steals tank. No matter were you turn a noob toober kills you. WHen you blow up a Tank/APC the guy respawns next to it and comes at you again (this goes for most maps but its worse on Karkland do to CQC, meaning you face the tank/APC seconds later since map is small) So then 90% of the time it may come down to USMC fighting the MEC forces at the broken bridge..snipers wet dream. Basically the round comes down to who wants to win and who wants to be involved in massive point whoring and say screw the flags.

Hahahahaha:laugh: True. I know that map like the back of my hand and it's getting to get boring. It seems as if I know every situation possible on that map! But I played sharqui (spelling) and the map is sooo cool! It has everything! A city, attack heli, tanks, snipe spots and I finaly realize why people like that map so much! I guess I'm now gonna play that map and lower down the hours on Karkand (still a great map).

I agree 100%. Or better yet they could take the APC away from the US. The map is tilted toward the US because they have an extra peice of armor and an UCB.

The way it is set up right now, the US can just take their armor past everybody over to the last MEC point and cap it, then they will likely have all the armor for most of the game.

sharqi is my favorite above all of em aswell.

I don't know where you've been but MEC does have an APC, in fact they have two, at least on the 64 size but even on 32 they have one. I don't know who any of you guys can sit here and tell me you hate Karkand. I love this map and if you don't like then don't play it, thats all I have to say.

64 and 32 size, MEC has APCs, but on 16 size, the MEC don't while for some reason the USMC still do.

Sounds like a lot of the people who don't like it have only played the small (16-player) version. Almost all the 'small' maps are too small. Karkand is much better in the 32- and 64-player sizes.

Whenever I join a Karkand server, it's usually 32 player size. Still, I hates it.

64 sized Karkand makes me angry... very angry.

64 karkland is the suxxor, much to small for 64 peopel to play imo. The toobers fo frggin bat sh*t in a 64 karkland match. log on to a 64 karkland and watch the battle spam, its toobing non-stop with an occasional nade kill or tank bashing.

Karkand is, IMHO, one of the best maps in the game. It is one of the only maps where you'll have some drag-down, know-out infantry fights. Nothing beats a good all out slug match between infantry and Karkand can give it to us(like Mashtuur and Sharqi). As for MEC not having APC's in Karkand. They get them. In fact they get two in the 64 player map and I believe they get one in the 32 player map. Karkand is actually pretty balanced. If the players for the MEC know what to do you can hold the USMC back and they'll never move further forward then their arty implacements.

If the MEC players are clueless then the USMC can roll right through town and take certain strategic bases which basically opens a Pandoras Box on the MEC and once that is done the MEC will be hard pressed to contain the USMC forces from taking other bases.

Even after so many rounds of Karkand, I still like it very much. I just like that there are many times where the fighting gets really intense. Some of the greatest games I've played have been on that map. Noobtubers aren't really a problem, sometimes I manage to avoid their grenades and kill them, this really makes them angry!

And just to clarify, no, the MEC does not get an APC on the 32 player version of the map.
