If I were to buy another card right now I'm not sure what I would get. I also played around quite a bit with the settings overclocking etc and have done pretty well with the 128MB 9800.
I was just trying to relay what I've experienced with the card and which is the best 9800 to get.
Personally I wouldn't spend more much more than 100 bucks on any 128MB card presently. What are the alternatives in this range, 100-130 dollars?
If your going to spend 200 bucks thats a different call. Currently I probably wouldn't spend 200 on an AGP card.
If your building a new system on a budget would you wouldn't choose AGP to begin with, I think AGP would be the first mistake in the process.
So, If I only had around 300 bucks to spend in on upgrading a AGP board, I'd buy a really good dual channel set of 2x1G memory that I could use in my next machine, (Which I have done) and a cheap 9800 pro. As opposed to a the best AGP card on the market for 250-350 dollars.
Might also consider buying a faster processor if your sitting around a XP2000 or P4-2.0G or celeron with a 9800 pro. But even this is questionable. If your using a board with a 2G P4 or a XP2000, might just be easier to buy a PCI board processor combo.

I've personally been throwing around the idea of upgrading from a 9800pro 128MB... but considering I'm running mine at 409/360 overclocked to 9800XT levels? What would I get and how much would I spend for a dead-end card?
