Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
I run a 9800pro on my system. I play on medium/low with about 75fps. If you want to you can put it on all medium or medium/low with 2xaa and get around 40-60fps. I just like the high fps and am willing to take a shot in the graphics section to attain it. On your second question, put it in your parents computer. The 1GB of ram alone makes it a much better gaming system for BF2.
Got a 9800Pro myself. I have to run at Low/Med settings @ 1280x1024. Thats with an AMD 64-Bit 3200+, 1024MB DDR. I'd reccomend putting it in your parents machine, but I would also reccomend picking up any 256MB card you can find. 9800XT would do.
Im gonna get an X1600 when I can afford a PCI-E Mobo.
wut abt AMD64 3000+ venice @2.1G with 1G of ram
and GF6600 256mb at 450/588 ?
wut FPS should i try to accomplish in order to play it smoothly ?
thx
I have a similar setup, except I have a winny at 2.2 and my 6600 is at 375/575. Anyways, I can run the game at 40+ fps on medium/low settings. I am sure with your card being overclocked more it can do the same if not better.
Pretty good card I've got mine (the 128Mb version) overclocked to 409/360 with atitool big difference from stock settings. ( no additonal cooling)
As soon as you get it check the spec on the memory, the last few digits on the chips should be something like, A2, B2, C2 or 2A, 2B etc.
If they are the A2 or 2A (can't remember which why around...) jump for joy those are the best chips and also probably means you have the R360 core. In other words a 9800XT card with less memory if it the 128MB version.
Regardless run atitool and up the memory to at least 360 it helps. memory seems to be the bottle neck for the 128MB versions.
Also with 512MB you won't really be able to run that high a graphics anyways, Probably all low at 1048 and 100% distance, start upping a few to medium and see when your frames start to drop.
I am no techie but have been very satisfied with my 9800PRO 128MB(although very tempted to move to 256MB).
Most don't believe me but I run mostly on high (except for 2 categories on medium) with 2x AA. I think I can get by because the rest of my rig is decent:
