The patch is too damned big for me to download! 171mb?!?!? who the blazes makes a patch that size!!!!! I got 31% done before my machine died. it was going to take me 3 hours to get the whole lot!!!!! its a joke.

Is there any zipped versions of the patch to download instead?? cos i'm dying to get back onto the servers.... SP is way too boring!

champ, im not retarded in any way shape or form.

3 people in this house study university and 1 final year of school.. on 3 pcs, thats a hell of a lot of downloading going on at any one time.... its a bloody big patch and it puts too much strain on our network. not to mention the exorbitant cost for extra downloads.... we're on a 1000 mb a month plan, theres 20% right there!

If you don´t even have 170 Mb to download the patch, you´re not going to be able to install it anyway. Buy more disk!

I think some of the file server services, like FilePlanet, will also burn files to a CD for you and ship them for a fee.

170Mb as it includes a new map.

You can probably get it on cover dvd's of PC Gamer mags...

When you install it, you'll need at least 1.6Gb free on the drive where windows is installed (normally).


BTW, 3hours for the patch is an average of about 16kb/sec. Could you not just download it at night when the speeds should be faster?

Not that there is anything worth downloading in that 150mb patch but come on, unless you're on a 56kb modem why the whining.

If your ISP offers you an unlimited dialup account, why don't you download it via dialup overnight...no stess on your network.

well in the UK even on a 24/7 dial up account they disconnect you every 2 hours.

Try a download manager
It will resume download file after youre pc crashed or you just shut it off

hmm, is that a standard action for every provider?

Used to play SWG with a couple Brittish people and they could all download the patches, When you just start out with SWG there's like 6 hours of patches worth to download and they all got on just fine?
