It's great, have a lot of fun when using it. But for the last few days, I haven't found any aquads that communicate this way. Wish alot more people used it, but hey ho, that's life.

I will not play without it. Point blank.

I have a squad on vent, and if I cant get a group on there, I use TS, and if I need to I will use in game.

Using voice comm is critical IMHO.

It's a real shame people haven't taken to using this important feature of this game. VOIP and the commander mode, in my estimation, were the two most important aspects of this new release.
I almost gave up on this game in digust a while back just because of this. I've rarely found ppl on there who you can talk with and work as a team.

I can't right now, but will post this evening... would like to find other players who do want to work and communicate as a team. If we had a players list, and then maybe use something like BF2Now, we could then congregate on certain servers and work together.

Maybe something like appointing one or two conctact persons who would maintain a list that can be accessed by anyone at a certain website... a list of player names who, when they want to get on the game, can lookup the ppl on this list, find out which servers they're on, and join up on those servers rather than just jumping onto just any server and playing with lone wolves with attitudes like St-Louis Sniper (I take that back St-Louis, if you've since changed your stance, otherwise my comment stays).

I use VOIP all the time. The server I play on usually has a MIC ONLY squad on the MEC side that I join. The only annoying part is when an eleven year old joins. Good or not the pre puberty voice just annoys me.

I hate it when my friends don't want to use voip. I wish xfire had a way that you could invite all of your friends to a voice chat then play the game.

But the group chat thing doens't even work. If you invite someone to a room you created only one of them can get in or one can talk and you can't talk to more than one person at a time.

              VOIP is awsome!
xfire VOIP is still in the beta stage, I understand future releases will cater for your needs. Try public TS/vent servers.

                hahah pre-puberty. I agree.

Well there is this one guy he plays with Crawdaddy all the time...I forget his name. Anyway...all the kid does is whine whine whine....to the point, I looked for a mute button...but no luck. Anyway...

The best way is to 1) join a squad that is called VOIP...2)create a squad called VOIP.

When commander...whether they talk or not....I keep everyone in mind with what I'm trying to do....even to the point where. I tell people to shoot at their 3 o'clock, instead of spamming enemy spotted (I try to cut back on that).

We're trying to get a bunch of guys in here to meet on one of the TOTALBF2 Servers...here's the thread...

we mostly use ventrilo, but sometimes when you cant stay on vent, we'll use VOIP..its very easy to use..doesnt sound as great as vent, but it does the job nicely..

That's like saying your car doesn't run and asking if anyone knows how to fix it.

Hell yeah... I find that in BF2 (contrary to CS:S), people use voip only when it relates to the mission. There are some exceptions to that, but jeez, go play CS... and listen to all the people playin the tetris music over voip.

I like to play with voip because i can use it for teamwork but i hate when people scream to the mic and gets really anyyoing.
