It's not getting really good reviews so I will probably not pick it up. Never was much into Quake anyway, Unreal is more my cup of tea.

Well heres a review from a gamer, quake 4 is awsome. Single player is great. So far Ive driven a tank, gunned in a convo, attacked a base, and destroyed a AA emplacment in only 3 levels. The weapons and enemies are great as well.

well to each their own.

its my belief that most of the ppl that say 'scary games dont scare me' only have themselves to blame. of course playing it in the middle of the day in the kitchen w/ ppl doing crap around you wont scare you. its the same w/ any horror movie.
you have to play it by yourself at night in a room w/ all the lights off and the sound all the way up. while high if possible.

Yeah no kidding. Most of them probably are that way. Always make sure there are almost no lights on...no one around you at all....it is night...turn your sound way up or wear headphones....scary as hell.

I agree, movies do not scare me atall compared to games, games just feel like your actualy in them, then with the headset and all of that it realy makes it pretty intense. i realy love scary games and movies lol.

Ok...I am ABSOLUTELY blown away by Quake 4...

It's everything Doom 3 SHOULD have been.

Oh man..if you enjoy futuristic FPS single player experience games, then you OWE it to yourself to pick this one up.

It absolutely blows the pants off of Doom 3, Halo, Halo 2, F.E.A.R., Far Cry.

The only game that I consider a better single player FPS is Half Life 2.

EDIT: I should also add that the PERFORMANCE in this game is mind blowing as well. ALL details maxxed with Ultra settings and this sucker plows through at super smooth frame rates without a hiccup.
