I play with people on teamspeak with a mate and I would much prefer to have him as my gunner than anyone else

I don't doubt this for a second - it's not only fun, but you might even rack up a great load of kills to. But you can't expect players to jump just because you say so - not on a public server anyway.

I think it's perhaps the case that you need to earn that sort of trust

reminds me of the noobs i see every so often that dont understand that capping players coming to help cap a flag arent stealing their points. like the other day i see someone typing "go get another flag u F*g I was here first"

yeah.. thats sad and funny at the same time..

BF2 is a good game, over all.. but as usual, its how people play it
that makes it stink.. It only takes 2 or 3 useless teammates to
cuase your team to lose... and more often than not its those
jet kiddies who just seem to be totally unaware of whats going on
on the ground..

As long as the carrier cannot be capped, then by God theyre happy
little kiddies.. cuz thats where they spawn to get their jets or choppers
and thats all they care about..

look at these jet and chopper players teamwork scores at the end
of the games... VERY little..if not zero or negative. Sure some of them
actually help their teammates.. but only 1 out of 10 of them do..

There are two things I would like added to the game:

1. The ability to mutiny against squad leaders
2. Servers that enforce team play somehow - if you don't help your team mates - your booted. This could be an optional server setting so that noobs can run around like fannies as much as they want - just not with the team players.

You politely ask him to leave. Explain to him that he's got a lot of nerve getting in YOUR vehicle. Try to get him to understand that it is your god given right to have sole use of that vehicle the whole game and if he doesn't like it he can just damn well go find another server. Pretty soon he will realize what a prick you are and leave.

wow.. thats strange.. why would you need to do that?

why wouldnt you just form another one yourself ?
Of course by voting for a mutiny on your SQUAD
leader , you are at the same time saying you can
do better, correct? Then do so..

form another squad and lead it yourself..get some of
the other members to hop into yours..

On your second point.. I agree teamplay sure helps make the
game funner.. but saying to everyone; server x will now start
watching for lack of team play and ban you for it, at will..
..........kinda sucks.

Ive pretty much positioned myself in BF2 these days to trying
to find a good decent server with some good players in it, even
if it takes 5 server switches in a row.. you will find a good game
on another server if you just look.. and I do know, like you ,
at times there can be a bad bunch of confused on your team
it seems..:)

well i did it 5times in a cobra when my clan members couldn't enter the 2nd position cuz of a noob taking his place... since my friend and I dint have an m95... i took off... took some altitude(100feet) and then pull my cobra upside down coming to the ground and say bail out 5times before i pull up to get out of trouble just at the right time and last second... i check if the noob stills there and 75% of the time the noob freaked out of his pants and bailed out :laugh: :laugh: pouahhhhahhhhh.

Play with These guys, you will never look back. You MUST join a squad, MUST listen to your squad leader, and squad leaders MUST listen to the commander, incompetant leaders get kicked if they will not resign, and TG pilots get first gibs on a airplane.

There isn't really anything inherently evil in wanting a gunner that you know you can play well with, but you do have to contend with the fact that it isn't anyones chopter in particular.

Basically, I've gotten so ****ed off with the lack of teamplay on many of the servers, that I've started looking into clans or groups of friends that I know aren't complete ****ers. I'd perhaps suggest that you do the same as that way, if your team recognises you as a half decent pilot (which I'm sure you are), they won't mind you and your gunner providing air support.

In my limited experience, your always going to have a problem telling people to get out of the vehicle if the team as a whole doesn't know your abilities and isn't working as a unit.

You make great points m8, and your right in that I should probably be looking for a clan that I can join and enjoy the type of teamwork that is so rare in pubs. Thanks for the advice! It's just too bad I'm just as picky with joining a clan as with who is in the gunner seat or I'd probably have had joined one by now. >.< But that's a whole 'nother thread.

I also lately have been spending damn near more time searching for a good server with decent ppl in it, than I do actually playing on said server. :hmm:
I wish there was a "currentRnd x" & "nextMap: x " line somewhere in the extended server details. Or even such comands that could be used in the console to find out what round number and the next map is.
