I'm sorry m8, your dead wrong.
When I pilot with a half decent gunner, then I will be #1 in teamwork points, guaranteed.
If the pilot and gunner are well coordinated, with the pilot lining up the gunner and evading, the gunner spotting/calling/hitting his targets, and in tandem providing an armor free path for your team on the ground, then the gunner will usually walk away with the gold for combat points and the pilot , while maybe not earning a medal if all he did was fly, will at least have a ton of teamwork points for all the assists.
Lately, my gunner friend and I have been switching off the pilot/gunner seats a bit during a round so we both can get some practice in, and it usually results in a fair amount of both combat and teamwork points for us both in the end. And I feel we do our job by keeping the other helo busy, and taking out armor, thus helping our team to victory. There's been a few times where we are having an awesome round in the helo, just pwning everything in sight, yet our team is losing it's ass off in the flag dept. I don't cap flags with a helo if i can help it, so instead we provide as much cover as we can for the grunts and keep the nme helo on the ground. This is teamwork imo.

youre right that there are people like yourself who have pilot skills
and with a decent gunner I have seen helping my team.. when
one of you guys comes in and hovers above me to help me take a
point, thats class. Thats teamwork.. I know there are pilots
out there that do this.. but honestly they are few and far between.
9 out of 10 of them are totally useless to their team.. and although
I made a comment about how these jet and chopper morons teamwork
points are LOW.. this is true for the most part..

To prove my point... the next 3 or 4 games you play on Gulf..
watch the carrier.. (which I rarely spawn at, unless thats all I got..)
Watch the numerous players standing around waiting for a chopper
or jet to spawn.. then watch them fight each other for it... hell,
a lot of times they even take shots at the guy flying off cuz he got
there first.. its a sad aspect of the game..

personally I could do without choppers and jets on ALL maps.. I think
its 20 times more fun to play a grunt game.. but I know they are
trying to add in these aircraft to make the game more realistic..but
the problem is how people use them, and how others do NOTHING
for their team whoring it up in the air..

Team spirit is about keeping squads toghether, and being able to kill enemies trying to take your base. Not about someone who just wants to be gunner of a chopper so THEY can be the one to get the kills, or use a jeep you are manning the gun of just so they can have a taxi. Therefore, kicking people out of your vehicle would be all about team spirit.

Ive seen lame bozos in the game numerous times.. and always hoped
that they were few and far between... but reading threads like these
here in the forum dont give me much hope..

team spirit? well, I dunno.. I think the game is pretty straight forward..
I mean, kill your enemies.. thats pretty simple, no? But what we got
is a bunch of kiddies fighting over jets and choppers so they can go off
on a whoring spree which is totally useless to their team..

Look at their teamwork points at the end of the matches.. near zero.

Well I care about teamwork - if I can't find at least a couple of people to work with I just disconnect. I really need to find a decent server because there are way to many fannies who just want to run around doing bugger all. I wish they'd prefer to play doom or something. The team aspect is what makes this game so enjoyable

There's nothing more satisfying that having a great commander, a great squad leader, some great pilots and some great team mates and and beating an equally talented opponent team in a hard fought match.

For me at least - thats what this game is about.

In the cobra if you are the pilot you can hover to the point where he is out of bounds and you are not.

Very comical. They get a "is no more" and you dont get a teamkill.

I only ask ppl to get out when I have a squad mate or a RL friend who is gunning for me. I make it a point to ask them to get out first, "Have a friend gunning for me , do you mind?" And 9 times out of 10 they will say "no problem" and hop out. If they want to be an jerk about it, then I can do the same, by taking off and starting a back flip while jumping out back to the pad and watch the guy crash. If I need to repeat this until he gets the hint so be it.

Whilest the rest of us do all the work..

Id estimate only about 1 out of 10 games I play in are actually
'well played'.. the rest is a toss up between chopper and jet
spam (by enemies or your own teammates..) or you get a commander
who is totally useless (just wants that 2x bonus..)

The whole point of this thread is hilarious.. Im tired of seeing
4-5-6 of you ****ers waiting and fighting each other for a
aircraft.. its been the cause of many of my losses..

I agree. Mostly when I play, very few people are interested in teamwork. Sure they'll join a squad but most just run around and do their own thing.

Now, when I do happen to find a squad that works together its awesome and if they happen to have voice, its even better.

Actually, best way to get someone out of your vehicle is to NOT MOVE. Thats right, when you dont do anything they will get bored and get out.

Hmm. When I'm piloting I always get atleast 30-40 kills in a jet. Clearing a flag, either by gunning or bombing, as well as taking out enemy jets, choppers and tanks/apcs do NOTHING for the team? Not to mention reducing the enemy ticket count.

Sure it's lame, but no more lame than staying in a vehicle when asked to leave imo. I want a certain gunner for a reason, that is communication. Communication means success in the 2 seaters. I ask ppl to leave because I can't do so with them and can with my squad. If they get to the chopper first, then good for them, I won't hold a grudge like you seem to want to do. But when I get there first, I want a gunner I can talk to and whose style I am familiar with. It's an important aspect, and I'm just too lame to do with out it I guess. :P

There isn't really anything inherently evil in wanting a gunner that you know you can play well with, but you do have to contend with the fact that it isn't anyones chopter in particular.

Basically, I've gotten so ****ed off with the lack of teamplay on many of the servers, that I've started looking into clans or groups of friends that I know aren't complete ****ers. I'd perhaps suggest that you do the same as that way, if your team recognises you as a half decent pilot (which I'm sure you are), they won't mind you and your gunner providing air support.

In my limited experience, your always going to have a problem telling people to get out of the vehicle if the team as a whole doesn't know your abilities and isn't working as a unit.

As I mentioned before, I wish the people who just want to run around and not cooperate would either a. Just %$&$ off b. Just play single player c. play doom or some other game where team work isn't a prerequisite for having fun and winning.

What a loser! I bet you and your little ButtF**K buddy are also the ones who make a squad with just 2 people in it & LOCK IT!

I play with people on teamspeak with a mate and I would much prefer to have him as my gunner than anyone else. I can talk to him and tell him where I see people and he can do the same for me.
