What are the most ridiculous things you've...

...heard from those who've ran over your mines and punished you? Here are some of mine:

"Don't place those mines on the path to the enemy moron!" Yeah, our "path to the enemy" is also their's smart one.

"Don't put mines there moron, now we can't cross the bridge!" REALLY!? Well guess what, that means the same is true for the other team!

Some of these armor whores are just amazing in the things they think of when they criticize you're mine placement. Anywhere you put a mine will hinder the movement of friendly vehicles atleast a little. Where do they expect us to put them? When will they learn sometimes it pays to stay and defend a base instead of going, base raping the enemy base, and finding that someone SOMEHOW snuck away and stole the base you came from?

I am one of those complaining. Just today I was defending the gatehouse on karkand. Noticing the tank was empty and unused, I decided to try going around and hitting them from the back. Alas, I could not do so.

The bridges had been blown by spec ops to stop advancement there, so obviously the only other solution is to use the land bridge. No less than 3 engineers had laid their mines all over the land bridge...

While mines can keep enemies out, they can also trap your team inside. A large majority of engineers who use mines often fail to leave an exit for teammates who would rather travel on wheels.

Well the picture was basically saying, don't place mines in a straight line, place them diagonally leaving spaces, so that your teammates can curve around them.

just place them in a triangle, one on the middle of the road the other two on the sides... easy for ur team mates to dodge and hard for the enemy to spot

I like to lay mines in a way that vehicles have to slow down and turn through them, any enemy fast mover wanting to sneak through doesn't have time to see them, but team mates should see them, seeing as there's such a nice shiny skull hovering and turning over it.

now only to figure out how to make my team mates use their eyes

boxing off a stretch doesn't work anymore anyway, seeing as any explosion will set them off, in a chain exploding kind of way

*edit* most ridiculous thing someone said when I used mines was that I was hacking.. must be some new hack that makes engineers able to predict the enemy's approach or something, hehe
