Simply download THIS to the pb subdirectory under BF2:
c:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\pb

and then run it.

Ok badmandant here is what you do, go into your my computer,

Local disk (C

WINDOWS folder

Microsoft.NET\

Framework

and delete NETFXSBS10

and then restart your computer and try.

I thought I described it well enough...

Ok..I'll assume you're using Internet Explorer then:

-click on the link I gave (http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbweb.exe)

-when the download screen comes up, click 'Save'

-copy and paste this into the save box that comes up:

"c:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\pb\pbweb.exe"

(Control+C to copy and Control+V to paste)

-hit ENTER and it will save the program to your hard drive into the proper folder (assuming you installed BF2 into the default directory)

-to run the update program click on START, then select RUN and paste the same thing as above (hit Control+V) in the 'open' box you are given and hit ENTER

-you should see a black window come up and it should update punkbuster.

k this sucks lol, i think that i need the 1.02 patch but for sum reason i keep gettin a " cannot find install folder for battlefield 2 " . we'v tried almost everything and cant figure whats wrong... i tried uninstallin the game and reinstallin it last nite but still did the same thing, i have no idea what to do here , i hope you guys can help us with these stupid problems lol... I JUST WANNA START KILLIN PEOPLE ON THE GAME BUT CANT EVEN DO THAT lol ..

Just go straight for the v1.03 patch.

Forget about v1.02. You don't need it.

Lots of people had issues like yours with installing v1.02.

Hey, we just wanted to thank everyone for all your help. We have found a solution to our problem and maybe it will work for you. All we did was manually uninstall our game then reinstall it. Somwhere on this site there is instructions how to do that. Everything works fine for our battlefield now. we dont know if this will work for oyu but give it a try.
