Something to remember is that when not locked on, the missile will follow your crosshair. Good for taking shots you're confident of but don't have time for a lock! (e.g. blowing away a loaded BH when it's taking off...seven kills, boy was that fun! )

I would say 75-90% of laser guided missle hits is a pilots doing. If your pilot is just doing bombing loops around a target you'll never get a hit. The pilot has to run a nice slow straight line and you will have 100% guaranteed hit(provided you're not blind) just wait for the double circle and X in the middle and launch. I personally love setting up my bombers for hits, the laser guided missle, if used properly has nil chance to miss; easy points for us both :)
