basic pistol and knife - help please

I have been trying for a month but just cant get thiese

I have nearly all my other basic badges.

The pistools are so under powered I hardly get any kills, just damage assists.

I play Karkand on the 64 player servers.

Also is there any difference in power between the silenced sp ops pistols and the normal pistols used by the other classes.

Ive all but given up on getting basic knife so it looks like my increase in ranks will stop at 20,000 points (which I'm nearly at)

help please with any tips !!

It sucks to get those badges, I got over 80 knife kills but still aint got 7 in one round.

I disagree with the statements about the pistols being so drastically underpowered. A lot of the time I find myself using a pistol as my primary weapon, and only switching to my rifle if someone's too far away. It has so little recoil when firing fast that I really like using it most of the time.

The rounds are longer so you can really rack up kills :)
I found the pistol badge to be quite easy but the knife one was hard so you have to think outside the box and not approach the enemy from where he's expecting you to come from; sneak around a little and see if you cant sprint up to an unwary enemy and stab him good and proper

I found the pistol badge to be quite easy but the knife one was hard so you have to think outside the box and not approach the enemy from where he's expecting you to come from; sneak around a little and see if you cant sprint up to an unwary enemy and stab him good and proper

Actually, Karkand's the best for these two. It took me forever to get my expert knife and pistol, but the basic ones weren't that hard.

For the knife one, never go out and randomly try to knife people. That never works. Your top two targets will be snipers and medics, so you will have to hunt for these. It's best to play on a 64 size map with a small amount of people on the server so the round goes on for a long time. When knifing on Karkand, one of my favorite things to do is when I'm being MEC, to climb the hill near the US spawn point where all the snipers are. Get up there quietly and hunt for the snipers, but make sure nobody sees you. Medics are also a prime target, because they almost always prone to revive a teammate. When you see and enemy medic do this, run to him, prone, and knife him.

For the pistol one, it's also good to play on Karkand because it's easy to snipe with them, but other maps are good too. One of my favorite things to do is snipe. First I get my sniper rifle out and shoot a guy, leaving him with two bars of health. Then quickly get out my pistol and shoot him once so he dies. Just repeat his tactic and you should get this badge.

A clan member and I had a grudge match last night. Nothing but knives. I was on fire and got at least 15 knife kills in that match. Pretty soon I was going against three of my clan members by myself. LOL
