CO spot is awsome. Just last night I was commander, had a bunch of clan m8s on and 2 guys in a attack chopper that I knew, we were all communicating with voip/ts and we won like 7 rounds in a row(USA didn't win any )

The CO spot is definately for people who love teamwork. I'll take CO if we have a few squads and their SQLs use VOIP. It's very satisfying to me to supply whatever the squads need right when they need it, or even just before.

Artying a flag just before a squad reaches it to cap it, dropping supplies to a pinned down group, keeping UAV over a combat zone, using VOIP to let SQLs know they have enemies sneaking up on them to keep them alive as spawn points, it's all great. When you think about it, it's a genius addition to the the game. It's like playing the Admiral role in a Tom Clancy novel.

          Its all in the math

          X divided by Y.

X is the score of the whole team together (excluding your own)

Y is the number of team mates.

              Cool, thx guys :)

I think my days of being a commander are over then... You rarely get a REALLY good team, and I work better as a normal grunt :p

I enjoy being commander , especially if there are some good sized squads with varied specialisations . It also gives me time to have a ciggy and a cup of tea .

That is kindof nice. You can be a good commander while taking restroom breaks. And eating lunch. But I find that I do stress out a bit more, because as commander you have alot more riding on the win. Just have one guy in armor doing what you want, and he'll get every supply drop I got.

Personally I love the commander mode. The problem with it is no one appreciates you. (and they rarely listen to orders) I spend 100% of the time either in the command screen or repairing the UAV etc. but as soon as the side starts to lose someone tries to vote you out. A few times I just say 'fine i'll resign' then I get replaced by noone! One time I got replaced by the initiator of the kick who happend to be owner of the server who proceeded to jump in an airplane. Like you can possilby command from a plane. I then got banned when i pointed out what a dork he was.
It would seem people are playing commander just for the 2x points for the win. (I get more points as commnder that out at the front but i could care less about that) I think it would be much better if the commander got point for actual command activities. ie points for deploying UAV, for repairing UAV and scanner, for arty kills. etc Points should not be lost for arty teamkills since IMO that is usually not the commaders fault. (ie see the big red icon and the 'incomming arty' message)

Thank you for clearing up the average formula. I had forgotten that one. It's been a while since I was in 4th grade.[/sarcasm]
