if you are in a tank, you can shoot the mines to blow them, lot easier than getting out and disarming them. Not sure if grenades or c4 blow them up so ill give it a try.

Re: Destroy Anti Tank Mines
Afaik it isn't possible. But it's possible to destroy Claymore mines by tossing a nade at them. I have done this often when a sniper was on a roof near me, but had secured the ladder with a claymore. Just throw a nade up there, so it will detonate near the mine and your way is free.Comment

Re: Destroy Anti Tank Mines
But thats stupid?! Why bother having mines if they can get blown up by the exact vehicles they are meant to destroy? Might as well just give the engy a f**king spud gun to use now mines are worthless.
To disarm them before you had to crouch and use the spanner to remove them.Comment

Re: Destroy Anti Tank Mines
IF you´re an Engineer , using the wrenchOriginally posted by noob_mc_goobHow do you disarm the mines (ie before you could blow them?)
and yes , i think it was a bad idea to do that , engineer was always a dificult class to play with (everybody punishing you after running over your mines etc .)
But now besides that and the repairs in the Helos taking longer you lost your best defensive weapon , before you put a couple of mines and a tank would have to find another way in your base , but now ? Bum !
I think the patch hurt engies real bad.Comment

Re: Destroy Anti Tank Mines
You can chain mines together and make large infantry killing explosions by detonating them with grenade / M203 / AT rocket
Also makes this easier to take out vehicles as you can set a mine beside a vehicle, then detonate it with a grenade (if the vehicle is within range of the mine's explosion, it will be destroyed in one shot)Comment

Originally posted by JoeJJohnsonIISee the last I heard you could blow them up with grenades, but not with anything else. It would just be unfair to make it so you could blow up the mines without getting out of the tank, making the mine all but useless.
Uh... no actually, think about real life - you shoot a mine with a shell and it's gone. You don't have to get out of your tank and get rid of it. This now forces engineers to use their brains as they place their mines, not just place it on 'the best position for a kill', after all, mines are a defensive weapon. I think this is good because now engineers will not be blocking each and every tank's path and instead use their brains and defend their bases.Comment
