True, but it has got better lately.

I use mines a lot in the swamps, they hide nicely in the water and grass and you only need to use one or two leaving a massive gap for friendlies to get round. Get a fair few kills that way and have had very few TKs recently, normally jeeps driving like maniacs.

I don't agree with Engis that lay a whole line of mines out blocking a gap, there's just no need!

Anyway, I might try to get this badge with C4 instead - just not a big fan of throwing C4 in alleyways to kill foot soldiers, so will have to practice a bit with armour dodging.

Just go to karkand on a 64 or 32 player server. You don't have to walk around with your knife out the whole time. Just pick a class with good stamina (medic or spec ops) and bust out your knife, run towards an enemy when he is distracted and stab him.

I got my badge on Karkand and ended up with a positive KD ratio on the round. As USMC on a 32 player server we were attacking the second bottom MEC flag. We took it (normally, using guns!) then had to defended it. I climbed the big ladder to get onto the building overlooking the flag and waited. When the enemy came to recap the CP I jumped off, knife in hand and parachuted ontop of them, stabbing all the time. Not only do you get flag defends and help your team you get your badge in about 10 mins.

I got my basic knife badge on Fushe Pass, certainly not you average knifing map and it was 48 players on 32 player map. I also made a vid out of it, caught all the footage on battle recorder so if you want to check it out it may help you. Also you don't need to jump/prone/stab either. Sometimes the best way is full frontal assualt, most people usually panic and by that time you have stabbed them.

Also snipers are the easiest to stab, you find most are so dumb they don't even lay claymores. Try and let the commander know what you are doing, make your own squad and lock it. Then ask him to spot out snipers for you and sneak up on them. You will be suprised how many times you could have knifed someone when you actually shoot them, its a hard habit to break actually.

Just checked my stats - I've knifed 58 people in 25 minutes and only died 32 times. Compare that to 3 hours sniping, killing 58 people and dying 60 times.

Clearly I've got mass murder tendencies!
