I have finally done it. Air-to-Air Missiles that SHOOT DOWN aircraft!

I am thinking of reviving this old mod now that I have fully working missiles. Which means I will now actually apply these new missiles to a full gameplay mod.
I am going to start from scratch, probably not mess with the handling yet. I will start tweaking the missiles so that their behavior is more realistic. I will also try to add new missiles and balance this all out. Ideally I would like to create an airplane dogfight realism mod, trying to get the HUD/missiles to be as realistic as possible while still being fun. I am going to tone down the missiles so that they are powerful, but not unbeatable.
Who knows maybe I will actually finish this mod. I seem to have a habit of starting projects, then never having the time to finish them.
2 Missiles that I plan on adding to the mod:
AIM-120 AMRAAM: Advanced Medium Ranged Anti-Air Missile
AA-12 Adder: Russian equivalent to the AIM-120
Both of these missiles are beyond visual range missiles and I know that I will have a tough time balancing these out against the short range Sidewinders.

Instead of making them hit 100% of the time, how about makin git more like 80%, this give the polis a chance, as long as they are good. It also makes it more realistic.

I am having a major problem with my AIM-120 model. The normals are flipped no matter what I do. I spent all yesterday, morning to midnight, trying to fix this with no luck. Also I cannot just flip the normals before export because that destroys the UV Map and it becomes impossible to remap.
Is it possible that it is a problem with my export method? This is the first time I have ever exported anything to BF2. I am used to the old method which was much simpler, so it took me the better part of yesterday to just figure out how to export the model.
Also on a side note, does anybody know where the target types are defined? There are 3 types of targets, Unique, Laser, and Heat, but I cannot find where any of these are defined. Is this something that is hardcoded into the game?

Sorry for double post, but even with a bugged model, I have been progressing.
The HUDs in real life are so radically different from what is possible in BF2 that I ended up just getting a mix between looking cool, neat, simple and realistic.
Also note that the name of the missile selected is on the bottom right of the HUD, with multiple missiles it is good to know.

Wohoo! With the help of Rexman and many others I fixed the missile problem. All that is left to do is export the Russian AA-12 Adder, and add the launchers to the rest of the planes in the game. Balance is also going to be an issue. Honestly I am perfectly happy with missiles that absolutely own the pilot on the receiving end, but I know most people are not like me
Whether it is a problem or not, I always love to post tons of pics. Now is no different. I still need to do some work on the texture, dirty it up a little so that it is not so clean that it stands out. Other than that I have to say I was thrilled this morning when I got the model working properly ingame.
[Edit] I have noticed that only half the hardpoints modeled onto the F-15E are being used. Boy am I going to have fun with this
In case anyone notices, these pictures are not following one missile, if that were true the AMRAAM would have chased him around the entire map
