Hey all.
I just got BF2 last nite to play with one of my buddies. Hes only had it for a week so he cant really help much either...so here I am.
I checked the stickies at the top and didnt find any 'newb advice' type sticks, so Im posting this thread to ask for new player tips and advice.
Some specific question I had from my couple hours in game last nite:
1) Is this game's interface moddable? Ive played some games in the past where you can customize the interface, didnt know if this was one of them. I found the standard interface very hard to read and get used to. Text seemed to be in the most random places, mini-map wasnt so mini, nor was I able to garner much info from it either just yet (as a noob).
2) Ive been pretty good at most games Ive played eventually, but I found myself getting thrashed last nite. And most times I got thrashed, I didnt even know from where, or from what I got killed!! So, my question is...should I prepare for a life of being sucky at this game or does this game just have a pretty hard learning curve for the first while?
Any other tips/guides/websites/anything you all can direct me towards to help me get past my newbism faster would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks

p.s A little background on me. Ive played a couple FPS games before, none really a ton online with a PC (last FPS on PC I played was Unreal Tournament 2004 single player mode only). Ive played Halo 2 extensively, but obviously controls are completely different. Movement in game doesnt seem to be a problem for me though thus far.
