Steel 5H Headset vs. Logitech Precision Gaming Headset

Hey guys,

I'm debating what new headset to get, and I had already ordered a Logitech Precision Gaming Headset as reviews have been saying the sound is amazing, but I just cancelled my order because a lot of users have been reporting that their headset breaks within weeks.

Now, it seems like the Steel 5H is also an awesome headset, but apparently the bass is lacking.

Which one would you guys recommend me to get?

I use the one that came with socom on the PS2, works really well.

Gamer's headsets never seem to last. Over the years, I've been through several different brands of varying quality. I opted for Technics RP-F290 Hi-Fi headphones and a Logitech usb desktop mic which I've had over a year now.
Consider splashing out on some good Hi-Fi stereo or surround sound headphones. They'll last longer and sound better.

Using the Precision Gaming headset right now. I reallly like it, but it breaks on me a lot. Logitech's good about it though, and they send me new ones.

Heh, so it does actually break easily, does it? Hmm, well as long as Logitech keeps replacing them, its ok but still a nuisance.

Do they sound good enough to warrant the hassle?

I have precision gaming headset, it broke within 2 weeks, my grandfather broke it apart and fixed the loose wires, i have to do some stuff with it once in a while to keep it going. I'ts a pain in the arse. But the sound quality and microphone quality is excellent.

Yah, this is the part where I really don't know what to do - I mean if the Logitech's are that good, it seems like its worth the hassle. On the other side, the Steel ones might be just as good, and might not break so easily...

I've had a number of good Logitech products over the years (MOMO Force driving wheel comes to mind, as well as the MX518 mouse), but the USB Premium 350 Headset was a pile of poo, and lasted for only 3 months.

I agree with Deez, Plantronics 500 DSP rules!

I have the logitech. works great. I have a big head (both of my heads are big, BTW ), and it fits nice and the sounds Q is great. mic is in a great spot as well.
