I don't remember the name but I was once on a server which played two rounds per map. However, they would automatically switch your team every round. This eliminates any possible imbalance problem in the map, and I encourage more servers to do it. What do you guys think?

Re: Excellent idea I saw on another server
I wish more servers would impliment it, I'm sick of being stuck on one side for the whole game, playing as both sides makes it more balanced and yumness.

I've been playing on more and more servers that do this. Makes the 2 rounds more fun. Only thing that suxs is you need to create or rejoin the squads

Re: Excellent idea I saw on another server
Yea I play on a 64 player kark only server that does it and it really keeps the game fair since it also has harsh team balance server things that make it always within 1-2 people difference in sides.

yeah, sounds really good, except the having to resquad but that would be something i'm willing to live with.

I've played on a server like that, and it was great.Originally posted by puglousI don't remember the name but I was once on a server which played two rounds per map. Some servers also keep track of the punish/forgive stuff and send this to general chat, so other players can see who's a punish-monkey and who's not.

Re: Excellent idea I saw on another server
the bf2s.com server does that, along with some others. It works well, but sometimes you're stuck with noobs and lone wolves while the other team is 1337. In that case you switch teams with those noobs instead of the 1337 guys.

Re: Excellent idea I saw on another server
It's really not that difficult to resquad.
The only problem I see with it is that sometimes people get switched and they got "WTF? Why did I get switched" so they switch to the other side and then wonder why their squad players are all on the other team.
Happened to me once, after that, I caught on, but I have seen it happen to others.

Re: Excellent idea I saw on another server
The Norwegian Broadpark servers does this too. I think it's great to play both sides on a map!
I used to hate this when they introduced it on the Broadpark servers..Originally posted by 193d KlinkOnly thing that suxs is you need to create or rejoin the squads
But now I understand that this is the best that can happen to keep the squads "alive".
Way too often does a squad leader go AFK, or some squad member is made Leader without knowing it (if the leader disconnects). In most cases this results in "dead" squads, either with an incompetent squad leader, or an AFK one.
By resetting the squads every round, you'll experience more active squads and more teamwork - atleast that's the experience I've got from those servers!

Re: Excellent idea I saw on another server
From a clan perspective, I'm no fan of this setting -- it'd be one thing if it kept squads intact, but it doesn't. And invariably, someone in TS accidentally switches back to the other side, lol, and things are all messed up :)
I have np playing both sides, just make it so that the squads stay intact..
