This thread should be bronzed, silvered and gold plated and then showed up to Dev teams bong-hole.

Overall, I'm pro-patch, though I can't for the life of me understand why they made mines explode with simple grenades now.. felt so heroic clearing a path through the mines under MG fire with a tank waiting to cross

*edit* the guy that came up with the 'message from EA4 needs to die though, slow and painfull! and the server browser in game isn't optimal to say the least, indeed..

because you had to say it... i too have the same problem but since french is my nateive language i cant do it as fast and good as you did in your post.
i too read the hole thing and agree with you but you only forget one thing to write at the end of it: "plz dont quote this post "

i think that we need to see the good points of this patch( though not many one) and so we can be used to the multiple bug and take advantage of it as some people maybe wont see it.

I know exactly why they did the 'minimap scaling per vehicle thing': Because it sucks to be infantry and have it zoomed in max, and jump in a helo, and have to always bump the zoom out, then parachute out, and zoom back in, rinse, repeat.

But, they introduced a bug in the mix. If you are zoomed at all, and I think in a machine gun (like in a jeep or buggy) and hit the 'q' camo rose to spot an enemy jet, it automatically zooms out to least zoom. Ouch.

I agree with the rest of what you say. I wish that they would fix the hit box detection issue. I've seen a ton of TV missles fly through a helo and hit the ground or AT missiles go through a jeep/APC and hit the ground on the other side.

I did see a stat padder the other day. An engineer was blowing up the UAV thing and then repairing it to get repair points, over and over. It was just annoying to keep getting the voice droning over and over: UAV destroyed, UAV repaired, UAV destroyed, UAV repaired.... But, overall, this is MUCH improved.

How does an engineer manage to destroy its own commander asset?

Great post, read the whole lot and I also agree with everything you said. Another bug I found and it has never happened to me before pre-patch is I join a squad and then I can't leave it, get stuck in that squad until the end of the round.

Also on the hit box detection issues what about when you knife someone and you see the dust fly off them, hear it hit and no kill. I have knifed someone 5 times, dust each time and they didn't die. Same problem existed from 1.0 and BF2 demo.

I also blame the QA testers. I remember seeing a vid before BF2 was released how they were bragging about how good their QA is yet in that vid I remember the head QA guy say that the testers get to wear some silly hat if they shock paddle the head QA guy. No wonder they can't find any bugs they are all too worried about shock paddling the head QA guy just to wear that gay hat. They need their arses kicked, strung up by their nuts and let the community give them a flogging, then sack them. Some of these bugs are so simple to find yet they either can't or won't acknowledge them or if they have EA/DICE have simply ignored them.

I was also hoping that patch 1.03 would finally fix the majority of the outstanding bugs/issues especially the red/blue tag bug and was amazed that not only is it not fixed, its worse and not only that EA/DICE haven't even acknowledged it exists.

Again great post and EA/DICE need to read it themselves!

is this posted in the UK EA forums? Protagonist, who's *somewhat* connected to EA will definitely read this since he's a mod there...
