I had this problem sometimes but before patch 1.03, now, after 1.03 I have another problem, when I trow some C4 packs I can't switch to the detonator sometimes, or it takes some time, wich means death in most cases, DICE seems to be having real problems fixing something right

give it 2 second after switch to detonotar then click to boom.

I've had this happen but always just attributed it to lag. Seems to occur mostly when trying to quickly switch from pack to detonator.

Okay your problem is simple, you're switching to C4 twice instead of once.
Here's how it works:
When you lay a C4 and switch, the switching doesn't happen right away, it takes a second or two to switch over to the detonator.
So what I think you're doing is laying a C4 then switching, now since the switch hasn't happened as fast as you want it to, you then hit the switch again. Now what happens is you're back to a C4 at your foot.

So do this:
Lay a C4, then right away hit the detonator, then wait for the detonator to appear. Wait for it. Don't switch again. And the detonator will be there.

I believe this is your problem.
This used to happen to me, and I corrected it by doing what I wrote above.

That bug seems to be related to the scope bug when your scope zooms in and/or out automaticly after you switched once yourself. Had one of my worst encounters with that bug yesterday where my scope went in and out 6 (in words: SIX) times on its own.
That bug has been around since BF1942 (didnt occur that often as it does now) so I highly doubt they will fix it ever.

ive bee getting the same thing, i lay a down on the floor and when i try toi switch it it goes back to the c4 and i drop on the floor, This is such ********.

happends to me on the most intense times in the game, but i think they made it like that? running around putting two c4s

happens to me EVERY SINGLE time i use C4... its definitely not lag.. not a system issue.. not clicking too fast.. its f'ed up.. thats what it is.. i try to toss 1 c4 to get an enemy.. instead it switches back.. and drops another.. making me have to kill myself... its total BS.. if its going to be like that.. it should be permanent.. for EVERYONE.. to stop those retarded bunnin hoppin Ahole spec ops that toss C4 everywhere.. this bug would definitely stop 'em...
