I took medic as my first unlock - no real regrets because at the time I was playing it so much. The accuracy is good - and I know people that snipe with it.

To me the best part about it was having it full auto (so I can control whether I want to put 1-3 shots in a guy or just open it up at close range). That 3 shot burst is crap on the standard issue.

go for the opkm. i got the veteran badge 3 times now (explain that one...) with it already. at karkand i get 30 plus kills with it easy. the l85a1 suck ass, it is only a waepon for wuss snipers

I have read the PKM is just powerful as all heck but not that accurate. Since I absolutely suck I would rather have something with a kick to help me get more kills.

What to do?

PKM all the way. The great secreat about the PKM is that it's actually quite accurate when fired prone. The PKM was my first unlock and still my favorite. My only problem with it is that now everyone has one after the ranking structure changes and I keep getting killed by them.

Also, it's not smart to get an upgrade for a kit you don't like playing. If you don't like medic, don't get the medic pea-shooter.

I did unlock the PKM. I haven't had much luck yet with it as far as mowing people down. I got raped a couple of times by the G36C just now on Dragon Valley. I like being support. Rearming people is nice. It makes sense to use the PKM prone since it has the kick stand, it's meant to be fired that way, but this game is far from realistic.

Do you guys zoom or not? I would think any weapon is best zoomed in.

You gotta zoom in, Dude. It's like this: See a guy across the street or in a field. Go prone and zoom in ASAP. If you can't see him clearly, just aim until his tag shows up and shoot a little below that. Start shooting. Medium bursts (10-12 bullets or a bit fewer). 8 times out of ten I will win these 'throw downs' with a PKM simply because I am hitting him with more damage quicker.

Of course, if he's a crack shot with the M95 or G3, I'm usually toast.

The L85 is the only unlock I don't have. However, it's a piece of crap regardless. Someone posted the specs and it is not an upgrade to the AK or M16 in anyway. I keep hearing how accurate it is, but if put it on single shot and use that awful scope, I can't hit anything. And if you do hit something, it's about as powerful as BB gun.

Ive had this argument before but becouse of the scope you can sight up your target better it might have more deviation but becouse you cant sight it up better you get more accuracey. Out of all the unlocks (not the m95) the
L85A1 is the most accurate TO USE at a distance only thing that comes very close out of the unlocks is the G36C. The Ak's are horrible at a distance (completely ****e to be honest there awsome up close but complete **** at a distance) compared to the L85A1, the M16 is good at a distance BUT id much rather have full auto than burst burst sucks arse against some bunny hopping twat. HorrorBusiness You realy need to learn how to use a weapon before you make a comment onit and i mean learn it when i first got the DOA 12 i was so ****ed of i flamed it to **** but then i went away and learnt how to play with it and now its one of my fav weapons ( my 3 favs are L85A1, DOA 12, G36C).

(ALL OF THE ABOVE IS IMO IM NOT THE BEST PLAYER OR ONE OF THE BEST IN THE WORLD BUT IM NOT BAD AND I REALY REALY DO KNOW HOW TO USE TACTICS WHICH WILL ALWAYS WIN THE BATTLE NO MATTER THE WEAPON)

PKM is good at short and medium range but crap at long range alot worse than the other support guns
the LA-80 isn't good at close range but is very good at long and medium range and i would personnaly get it because it is alot bette then the other medic guns where as the support guns are already as good and i would say the SAW is better.
