Yeah, the Jackhammer is great I unlocked it and it is really effective at close quarters, it's as good if not better then the DAO-12, but that's no doubt because I never use Anti-Tank and use Shotgun kit alot.

I play medic a lot because I just love diving on a dead guy and jump starting his heart. I really like it when he doesn't say thank you. I also love being killed right after reviving the bast_ard. Seriously, I don't like playing medic.

I have read the pros and cons of the L85. It's not that great in close, better at a distance. I really wanted an better upgrade to the M16 since being medic is a relatively dangerous job. Think about it, someone just got killed and you have 15 secs to revive them. Well, the person that killed your guy is probably going to try to kill you in that short time. I get killed a lot reviving people so I wanted a more powerful gun than the L85. I don't know, you help me decide.

I have read the PKM is just powerful as all heck but not that accurate. Since I absolutely suck I would rather have something with a kick to help me get more kills.

What to do?

p.s. I have the m95, g3, g36, dao already unlocked so it's between the pkm and l85. Forget the jackhammer.

No, do not forget the jackhammer THERE IS NOTHING I REPEAT NOTHING THAT CAN STOP AN ENGINEER WITH A JACKHAMMER AT CLOSE RANGE!

haha DL! Yeah whatever button you have set to select the weapon hit it again to to cycle the fire rate

The jackhammer is very nice except for the low clip amount, pwns anybody at close range.

Silly question time: How do you switch between single fire and full auto on an M16 type weapon? (other than single tapping the mouse button) I have read that these guns are both semi and full auto but everytime I use them it's full auto.

I set my rifle to f so i tap f its proabley 3 for you though

Ive got 6 unlocks at the moement The L85A1, PKM, G36C, G3, DOA12, M95
All the weapons take time to get used to and you have to play differently with each of them. Id honestly say pick the unlock to the kit you use most but if you still want advice .The PKM is a BEAST and ive still not sussed it out yet but if you can get used to it will own .The L85A1 is a dam good weapon up close and at a distance BUT it has alot of recoil and takes alot of time for you to get used to it once you can handle the recoil your laughing.

Have you though about the G36C its a very good weapon that you can basicaly just pick up and use theres not realy that much of a learning curve for it its just good. If you want to spend time and learn how to use the weapon go for the L85A1 (your gonna get killed alot when you first start to use it in CQB). But you have the added advantage of self healing (i cant state how handy this can be most of the time i run out of ammo before i die). If you just want a massive improvement straight away take the G36C its good at long ranges (nearly as good as the L85A1) and has very little recoil so its very effective upclose.

I went with the PKM because of it's power and because I wanted to try the supply kit for a while. I got tired of dying 10 times in a row trying to heal and revive people.

i would honestly go for the jackhammer. seeing as an engineer gets a shotgun anyway, why not get a better one?

But for me the L85 is best, the PKM is totally lethal, but only if you can actually hit anything at all with it.

The Jackhammer isn't better than the pump shotguns.

The L85 is the only unlock I don't have. However, it's a piece of crap regardless. Someone posted the specs and it is not an upgrade to the AK or M16 in anyway. I keep hearing how accurate it is, but if put it on single shot and use that awful scope, I can't hit anything. And if you do hit something, it's about as powerful as BB gun.

the PKM takes some practice to use effectively, but it is quite powerful when you get the hang of it. Plus its always good to have another Support trooper around, dont see enough of them

well seeing how i have both, I can tell you what I think. The L85 is very underpowered, but if you know how to use it, it is a great weapon. Yes it can be used as a sniper weapon but be ready to learn to use the odd scope it comes with. Do not aim at the very tip top of the point on the scope with the L85, but rather put your target maybe a few millimeters above it. It takes about 4 shots to kill someone with it so...guess thats why you get a 30 rd mag. So, its good if you figure out how to use it but way underpowered.

The pkm is just awesome in power, but it also lacks in accuracy and overheats 2x as fast as the other support weapons. It also has a slower rate of fire, which means less lead flying towards the target. With this gun you have to learn to fire in bursts, to not overheat it and to not totally ruin the already lagging accuracy. But just like the L85, if you learn to use it correctly, you will just rule. Just be cautious with this gun though, reloading takes forever. Not as bad as the dao 12 though, but long enough. Close range can be as deadly as a shotgun. Note I say can...i've killed guys with shotguns at close range but they've also killed me back lol.

So both are great, just you have to learn to use them. Basically pick the one that you play the most.

PKM, and I'll tell you why.

Medic already has a great rifle, especially the ak.

Support, on the other hand, has crap from the get go. You *need* the pkm, imho, if you want to kill anybody with your main weapon as a support guy.

I used to play assault mainly, but I switched to support once I unlocked the PKM. The gun is deadly when used properly.
