I just had a rash of "there Is A Problem With Your Connection" problem. It turns out that it was my 6 year old cable modem going kaput and it had nothing to do with the 1.03 patch. I got another cable modem and now I rarely get it.

I get it sometimes and yes, it's usually when I am having a good round.
Howevera lot of the time I think it's the servers, usually when I try to rejoin the same server the number of players there were decimated.

do you have a firewall running in the backfround (or anything else for that matter). turn it off.

YES I DEFINATLY AGREE, Some srevers are run buy groups of computers and some are run by two computers. I HATE THE PROBS WITH CONNECTION!!!:evil:

it can have many reasons, I have it to, I think 2 times average per round I play, but it only lasts for 0.5 sec, but that is enough to die , certainly if you are in a plane.

When I have this it's the server, never my end as I go back to server screen, chose another and join straight away.

I get it 3-4 tims a night. I assumed it was the buggy game TBH because it never does it on anything else. I have 2 computers lan'd up I think thats what causes it.

Sometimes one computer will recover and the other will loose connection to the game and sometimes they both recover. Mostly neither do though.

Anyone else had this problem? I was on a role, killing all the marines I could see and this damn thing came up "THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH YOUR CONNECTION", that came up so many times but my internet's fine. what the problem here? Can i fix it?

Everyone gets that its not you or your pc its the server. I play BF2 on teamspeak with my mate and whenever that happens it ahppenbs to him also at exactly the same time and we have completely different systems for one thing he runs XP64 bit. And i'd be willing too bet everyone else on the server has it at the same time too.

How stupid do you have to be to turn off a firewall so that a game would run 'smoother' as it 99.999% certain isn't the culprit anyways ?

Just because you can connect to an entirely different server on an entirely different port, doesn't mean everything's gravy. This is like getting stuck in traffic on your way out of town to the North, and then trying to go South, on a different road altogether, and it's fine - then wondering why the heck that is.

How stupid do you have to be to turn off a firewall so that a game would run 'smoother' as it 99.999% certain isn't the culprit anyways ?

Ive not properly read all the post in this thread but it is actualy recomended in the bf2 manual to turn all firwwalls of and then to portforward a load of ports.

I can honestly say ive had this prolems thousands of times since playing bf2 i dont actualy blame bf2 i blame my crappy isp (im having loads of problems with the twats if your in the uk DONT GET BULLDOG INTERNET there the worst company on earth). Im just gutted that each dc you get from a server counts as a death id have a much better fragrate if it werent for all the dc i get.
