Reading through this thread, there's alot of preconceived notions of property belonging to people. "Stole a tank", "got in the chopper I was sprinting towards".

C'mon guys. It's an online game, nobody's trying to screw your wife here.

If someone beats you to it, fine, help the team to win the game another way.
He sucks at flying, but he's in the jet? No reason to TK, he'll learn eventually.
Keeps driving off without picking up teammates? He's not popular with anyone, you're not the only one seething.

More to the point, keep trying to have fun and ENJOY it.

I used to tk for a vehicle every once in a while when I just started the game. Just because I was so anxious to try out the ub3r 1337 tanks and planes. Now I just go infantry all the time. And if I do have a tank urge, I just wait for the guy to die.

i agree Vasquez at the end of the day its a game and everyone should get a turn in the chopper or jet or whatever they have as much right to it as you do so if they get there first then you should back off.

Sure if your a pilot in the apache thing and u have had ur team mate as a gunner and another guy gets in your entitled to ask them too get out and often they will but if they don't then don't then don't winge about it or try and tk them they have as much right to sit there as you do more in fact because they got there first.

I've never TK'd on purpose for any reason. Like someone posted earlier I've had someone pinch a tank I jumped out of to repair ... it was more funny than anything. I even repaired it for him :)

I have been TK'd for a vehicle ... usually choppers because people think for some reason they have a right to it. I don't get over angry about it, they can't help being as sad as they are I suppose.

I tend to fly around as a gunner in a chopper with my friend piloting often, but many times some random smurf will beat me to the chopper, and refuse to get out. A quick M95 bullet to the head fixes this problem,

Of course, I only resort to this after several ignored requests that he bail out.

I do it when someone gets into a chopper piloted by a squadmember I was going for. We both ask him nicley to get out, and if he refuses, well...

If I'm being honest I've done it with a few beers in me. I've had it done to me loads of times too. But I do agree with the majority here that it is childish and don't think that anyone (however good they are) has a god given right over anyone else. If you TK for a vehicle yes it is sad.

Once TK'd a guy though while I was a MEC heli gunner on Sharqi He was just hanging around on the helipad consitantly doing nothing for the team. Pilot was real good and made it back to the pad about a dozen times to repair/rearm on sharqi. This guy was there every time we came back. We eventually got nailed by a stinger site and when we respawned he got in as pilot. I just jumped out and we let him go alone. Got in the van to go battle and pilot said he's crashed already so I go back and we get in again. Next time we came back he's there waiting again so I gunned him down. I was wrong to do this but I still did it.

I suppose EA could fix this by locking you out of the vehicles for 60 seconds if you are guilty of Team Killing. :)

Would mean if you TK for the chopper etc.. you couldn't take it anyway.

Also if you remember back to BF1942 you recieved damage yourself if you damaged a buddy. Anyone remeber that?

I'm not looking for a debate here, I'm just curious if you have ever or regularly TK people to get the vehicle. I do on occasion, but only if the person I TK has done it earlier in the round to someone else. I'll never TK an innocent friendly because they beat me to the plane or chopper.

i only did this once, iwas waiting for a plane to respawn but both were up already, so when one of the guys crash, he proceeds to go to the hanger again and try to get it before i do (iwas waiting there already). he got the plane, and dies again and proceeds to go after the plane im waiting for again, so i TKed him.

Only once after a guy had Tk me for a plane twice, I hid by the hanger and promptly lobbed a grenade at him for his trouble.
