And you have no right going around calling people names. I recommend you do a nice search for my posts and get an idea of who I am before you start pointing fingers.

You, my friend, tend to have a very negative attitude, make short posts that detract from the original point of the thread, and are a negative contribution to this community, in my eyes. Of course, I would keep that to myself usually, out of respect, but obviously that word means nothing to you.

excuse me, does the plane or chopper have your name on it? No, it doesnt, you and/or your friend have no more right to any vehicle in the game then anyone else regardless of game history, first come first serve. People that TK for any vehicle should just rethink what they are doing, TK for a vehicle is just sad. Now, when you are IN a vehicle and some ahole refuses to move by all means run them over.

Do i TK for a vehicle? never
Have i teamkilled on purpose? yes, twice, one ahole on mashtuur that was blatantly out to kill his own team and everybody on the team ended up just killing him on sight. The other time was on Sharqi where some guy very obviously killed me on purpose. Other than that all my teamkills are not on purpose.

Of course, I only resort to this after several ignored requests that he bail out.

Re: TKing for a vehicle: do you do it?

T'king just because YOU say that you are a better gunner is bs in my book. Yes, I get frustrated when that happens to me, but I don't think that is a reason to start t'king. What if everyone has that philosophy? Then we all shoot each other and lose the match. Great teamwork.

Like kids who say "it's mine!' gets mad and stomps thier feet.

I have lots of your posts here on the forums, and yes you are a good BF2 player, and a well written poster.

The question was - TKing for a vehicle: do you do it?

No....as much as I want to. I won't do it. Nor do I punish for a t'k unless I know beyond a doubt that it was on purpose.

I apologize for calling you an Ahole. I don't apologize for critizing you for t'king.

            I've never done it myself.

I've had it happen plenty times to me. People go ape for the cobra. Once I had a guy throw a few c4 on the window as I was in the gunner seat. He didn't blow them, but it was pretty annoying because I couldn't see.

Re: TKing for a vehicle: do you do it?

If they're a decent gunner, and at least know that the TV Missile exists (even if they constantly miss), then by all means, I'l let them fly.

But it's the idiots who decide to learn how everything works while in a public game and ruin the experience for others that get in the way of my bullet.

Personally, I think you guys should be the ones who rethink things out. Is -6 points really THAT important to you? Will losing 6 points ruin your life? On the other end of the gun, would 15 seconds of death [and the joy that you cost someone 6 points and ruined their life] really be that bad?

I can understand how annoying it is when you get TKed because they want the jet first, and I agree with you there. Or if they TK you to steal your vehicle. But when it's UNDERSTOOD that you're the one using something, and they have NO idea how the thing even works, that I resort to TKing.

If you guys get so emotional over such a minute topic, go play on FF-off servers.

Steel, thanks for apologizing and explaining things a bit more. My respect for you just shot up quite significantly. Seriously, this forum is 99% about people's opinions and what they think. If we don't respect the opinions of others and start calling names, then this wouldn't be much of a "community" at all.

Re: TKing for a vehicle: do you do it?

TKs for vehicles is lame under every circumstance. Salad, your view of things is extremely elitist. I expected more from someone like you (or who I thought you were from reading your posts here).

                anyways. it's always lame, IMO.

Yeah and no... When I get a tank in Karkand I sometimes have noobs on top of the tank so I could tk them I just step back let them fall and boom shoot them with the tanks main gun so they could see I felt good tking the phuck out of them.

Re: TKing for a vehicle: do you do it?

Heinz, I do think that an elitist view is the way to go here. I understand that everyone starts at the beginning, but I believe that this game would be THAT much better if people started respecting those better than them.

When I'm flying a jet and I'm up against a better pilot, and they manage to take me down time after time, I won't start complaining or base camping them. Every time they kill me, I'll smile to myself and try and learn from that. Most of the time I'll even give them a "congrats".

But if another person on my team steals my jet and I can tell he's a better pilot than me, I'll go and grab a buggy, and go help my team on the ground. I respect the fact that he is a better pilot than me, and that he 'deserves' the plane.

As I said above, it's those gunners that have no idea what they're doing at all that really get to me. I LOVE flying in choppers, and nothing is more thrilling than a pilot/copilot working together. But if my gunner doesn't have VoIP (which I will usually not worry about), and has no idea what they're doing, it upsets me.

I think that if they want to learn how it works, they should play some Single Player (I learnt to fly that way), or get together with some friends. At least once they have a basic idea, go and try and grab a spot in the pub games.

Re: TKing for a vehicle: do you do it?

I think the elitist approach is worth some debate. While offensive on initial examination, a deeper look reveals some possible merrit: a novice pilot will waste his team's time; a veteran pilot could mean the difference between victory and defeat. Does that factor influence anyone's thoughts on TKing for a vehicle?

Dope, having people who read through the entire thread before replying also makes this a better place to be.

Rereading my original posts, I really do describe someone I would not want to play with. Really was using the wrong words early on.

Arec, I totally agree with you. Each side makes sense to a certain extent, and it really is up to personal opinion there.

So how do you know if they are decent if you TK them before take off ? Sounds like your spouting crap to try & justify your pathetic actions.

The main thing that spoils a server is some self opinionated dork enforcing THEIR rules on someone elses server, cause they feel superior to other players. Get your own server & leave the adults alone.

gungho, notice I said "and refuse to get out." I will usually give them a test run of a few runs before deeming them a 'newbie' and requesting that they exit.
