I often read in these threads people whingeing about 'noob tubes'.

Can someone explain what this is all about? What are they and why are they despised so much?

The M203 and GP 30 are noob tubes, ie under barrel grenade launchers

Some say its the 'noob-way' to kill others with rockets etc. :)

They're called noob tubes because any idiot with a trigger-finger and a sense of which team they're on can get a kill with it.

It's the main reason people die from walking around corners.

They are considered noob tubes if that's the only thing that you use. Sorta like those goofballs that run around with the AT missiles the whole game shooting at people.

They cry and cry because they can not master the grenade launcher themselves. That is the one and only reason people whine about how other players play.

I'm actually good with the M203 but i very rarely use it because it is a noob way of killing walking around a corner seeing an enemy then jumping and firing. There is no honour in playing that way i like to use my rifle to kill or even nades if there's a large number of enemy clumped together. But some people considering winning at all costs to be the point that's why hacks get invented and people use them. If we all played with honour 90% of the threads that you find on this forum that are complaints about the game wouldn't exist and you can not dispute that its the Truth.

It takes some hard core m203 mastering to be able to point at your enemy's feet while taking a hop, right? Tell me, how disabled are you in real life?

There is no such thing as honor in these games. What a dumb idea.

It's kill or be killed. period. People gravitate towards weapons they can kill with, thats all.

You're only a noob-tuber if the M203 is the only weapon you use to make kills at close range.

Sometimes you can't help it though. If I'm lining up a target behind the next building with my M203, and an enemy player jumps me with carbine blazing, I'm not taking my sweet time switching to my rifle. There is going to be a 40mm-grenade-launched-at-your-feet moment, without a doubt.
