You guys got it all wrong! Any guns are for ******* who can't use a real weapon, like a knife. Anyone who uses a gun is the lowest scum and biggest wuss on this planet.

And no, I'm not a noob tube whore because I haven't used the assualt class in atleast a month. I just think its a worthless class.

If someone launches a grenade at you at medium to short range and they either miss, or hit but don't instantly kill you:

•If they bunny hop away or try to run around a corner to hide (or better yet both - bunny hop around the corner to hide) while reloading their nade, they're a n00b.
•If they switch to their rifle and aim/prone, or even shoot from the hip to finish the job, they're not a n00b.

Personally I love the fact that they put the nade launcher in the game because those who use it skillfully are lethal with it, and at the same time it also allows the skill-less people (you know them, they're the ones with 5 kills, 10 deaths, and -10 teamwork points from all the nades they launch at their own feet killing themselves) to get a few kills and makes them feel their existance in the game is justified. Then again, maybe that's a bad thing...

Perhaps there needs to be some entry-exam that requires the player to disassemble and reassemble his or her weapon of choice within a minute. Whilst under-fire, and whilst listening to Enya...

That'd separate the men from the boys.

the noob tube, dolphin diving and AA/plane imba are the main reason BF2 will go the same way as BF1942 and just become a great platform for mods in the long run.

Atleast now they've nerfed the stats anyway.

I dont have a problem with the noob tube as such its when people walk around with nothing BUT the NOOB-TUBE and dont use any of there other weapons the NOOB-TUBE is a secondry weapon not a primary weapon.

and thats where your wrong man. the m203 grenade launcher is the primary weapon in an infantry squad. ask any real soldier out there.

The noob tubes would be the M203 and GP-30. Basically you can shoot it at someone point blank and they die while you live. In real life the casualty radius of the M203 is 5 meters, and the real arming distance is 14-27 meters. I believe the GP-30 is similar.

EA should make it so that if you fire it at someone within 14-27 meters, they get damaged if they get hit by it. Beyond that it explodes and kills/maims everything in 1-5 meters. If you fire it point blank at someone (say at your feet) you should have a certain amount of seconds to get out of the way before it explodes, as the timer inside is still counting down till it thinks it passes 14-27 meters. Kind of like a grenade. So if you still wanna kill someone in close, you can fire it, but then you either got to move or die when it explodes a few seconds later. But of course then the enemy has time to move also, but it will end the noob tube bitching.

the m203 needs to rotate a number of times also. if you shoot one at your feet it will never go off.

No that's were your wrong **** face when you spawn your default weapon is the ak or m16 you dont spawn with the grenade launcher out. And i will be asking real soldiers about that i know a couple that have just come back from iraq but thats real life this is a GAME.

good for you, ive been over there twice, and have been in the army for 5 years, i think i know what im talking about. Of course i seriously doubt anyone but infantry soldiers would know that. Ive been asked by other army soldiers what the m203 i was carrying was. how sad....

LOL, and where did you get that idea? :laugh: Maybe in BF2 it is but in the real world the infantry's primary weapon in the US military is the M16A2 assault rifle, the secondary weapon is the M203.

And to the homo that flamed Blackangel back, by using the logic where spawning with it not out doesn't make it a primary weapon....that sir, is complete idiocy.

I don't spawn with my pistol out when I play engy class, so should I use my jackhammer to drill targets 100' away, so that I'm not called a "pistol noob" for using a secondary weapon??

I spawn with a group of choices for fighting, they each server a purpose, and dependent to the situation, I will switch to the appropriate weapon, even if its the m203/gp30.
