Well still, i thought you were the regular rifleman grunt (one that might not even have a 203 on his rifle), so i was assuming that. But since you told me you're a M203 grenadier, that changes everything.

and thats where your wrong man. the m203 grenade launcher is the primary weapon in an infantry squad. ask any real soldier out there.

Spent 10 years in the Army. Wasn't a grunt but had a lot of patrolling and combat experience. In my experience and training the 249 (or 240 if you had one) was the primary squad weapon. As the squad leader this is the weapon that I turned to for a base of fire. I used the grenadier (203) to cover dead space or for indirect fire over defilades. By the way, this has no relevancy to game play in BF2.

I think this is top 10 of the funniest threads yet.

Some guy said it one page 3 and I think he had it dead right. Anyone who uses a gun is a big wuss, knives are for people with real skills. Anyone who uses a gun is a noobshooter. So you gun users should realize that your just a noob like those tubers.

Not me. There are hardly any similarities between the game and real life. For example, the real m249 is a very accurate weapon. Almost anybody could qualify expert on it with very little practice. But in BF2, I can't hit the broad side of a barn with it. Having said this, I still enjoy the game. It is what it is, an entertaining diversion, not a high fidelity military simulator.

Yea, I suspected as much. Lol, though I can somehow see those in the military playign commander a lot for some reason. Something akin to "HAHAHA! now its MY chance to give the orders >=)"

Personally I preffer following orders but Ill do whats necessarry if were loosin =)

I have no problems with people using the "noobtube" or nade launcher to kill me, Thats fine. But the Dolphin diving and Bunny hopping is getting slightly retarded.

For one, It just looks gay when your doing it.

Two, It takes the realism out of the game. Don't get me wrong I know its a video game and all, But It ruins the whole feeling of a realistic FPS war game.

I dunno, Thats about the only thing that bothers me really. I know most people will just say " Then why don't you start doing it so they don't have an advantage? " And I'm gonna answer that right now to clear it up, As I said above I think it ruins the game and its gayer than **** to see someone doing it.

Other than that. Nade me, Blow me to **** with c4,tanks,choppers etc. Its all fair with love and war. But stop ****ing Hopping around like a retard. This ain't RTCW or Unreal. Get it?

Its because these noobs don't have the G3.

Once you get the G3, it changes your life.

what are those, the G3 completely owns at ALL ranges.

I had this guy come around the corner to noobtoob/jump me on karkand as a matter of fact (go figure), and i just droped 3-4 bullets into him and he dropped pretty much instantly.

G3 owns, stock assault does not. plus you get grenades when you get the G3 anyways, so what's the deal. I think there is honour in the game as well.

I can understand the urge to "play to win", if you knew me in rl you'd know I hate losing, but with 1.03, everything is on "easy mode" now, so what do you ave to lose?

I have every unlock, minus 1, and that was the only thing that made me "play to win", was to get these stupid unlocks. Now that I have them, I, say it with me now...

I have never been in the military, but I will bet that no soldier alive today has used a grenade launcher to kill an enemy that is within a few yards of him, with no walls or other protection between the soldier and the enemy.

In this game, the newb cannon grenades kill when launched at your feet, but dont seem to have any effect on someone 5 yards away. Silly.

But do you really want the grenade launcher to have a 15 foot splash damage? Seems like it would just make the problem of people using it all the time even worse.
