From my experience, which team won has been about fifty-fifty. Although I haven't seen one team win more than the other, I have never seen it close. It has always been that one team completely wiped the floor with the other one. The problem is what defines the game is wether the US get a flag decently early. If the US get a control point decently early, they dominate. If the Chinese can hold the island for a good portion of the game, they dominate. I have never seen the game go back and forth while fighting the US on the island. Once they get on they usually just wipe throught the island pretty quickly. This is compounded by the fact that most people are just out for points. There isn't enough points in defense for most people to bother so they just sit on the islands tips while the US take one of the rear control points.

The better team will win. Chinese have the Z-10s. Nough said there. They also have 2 tanks on the north and south spawn meaning nothing is getting on land. Have your chopper pilot battle theirs and you can easily keep on the drain.

It's all about which team is better when it comes down to it.

are you aware of the insane bleed that PLA gets? do you know what ticket bleed is? have you even ever heard of a ticket? you know how much gear pla gets to start, how many tanks and ****, how many aa nests etc etc etc.

PLA IS STACKED. noob thread... but most bf2 players are noobs so no biggie i guess <3

Couldn't agree more. It seems as though no one was equiped with air skills so we were owned 100% of the time. I was feeling more like a soldier of one and the rest of the team were just moving targets. :p

I'm off to see if I can redeem my pride here...

it always depends on the ppl you're playing with. We play always on Chinese and I think we always won the map! If you have good pilots in the planes and a good attackchopper team then you own on this map! Well it is then kinda baseraping coz the planes have to attack their carrier over and over again. And the chopper takes out boats or ground troops! It's as easy as that!!

Why the Chinese lose:

1. Failure to defend bases. If you want to win, ticket bleed is your friend. You also need the equipment at those bases.

2. Inability to hold airfield. You must be able to apply airpower wherever needed. SOMEONE has to hold that damn flag.

3. Failure to utilize equipment. Tanks, Helos, and Planes do no good unless they're in the fight. Also, never underestimate how important ground vehicles can be. Emplaced weapons can give an incredible advantage to you. You must use your assets.

The reason that the US loses is similar. Inability to take bases, inability to hold bases, and failure to utilize equipment are the biggest culprits.

The key reason the Chinese lose this map is no defense. And it's not because they don't have the resources available to them, but it's just because Battlefield 2 has made everyone forget what the word defend means. Flags in BF2 maps are so close and the instant you take a flag, you know the commander of the other team is going to use his pseudo-hack UAV and the arty at the same time on that flag, so no one defends anymore. Not to mention spawning on squad leaders REDUCES teamwork as securing an area is no longer a guarantee that you have actually secured it, graying a flag is nothing but points to people anymore, as well as the flag cap. And as soon as the flag is taken, they RUN to the next flag or the next area of action because they know the point-and-click arty is coming.

People simply don't know how to defend anymore, and the ones that do try to defend with things like C4, mines, etc. are always at a loss because teammates don't know how to look out for them anymore either.

If the US forces are only a slight bit organized, the USMC will win this map. It is absolutely biased. I've seen this map on the TG server (and believe me, those guys know how to defend). China never had a chance. If you are on a real public server, where everybody does what he wants, the Opfor got a chance of winning.

IMHO this map is pretty badly designed. I like the retro kick though.
