Post tips for taking down aeroplanes

Im so bored of the "Planes suck" threads. I use them myself and they are great fun. Only thing i get scared of are enemy planes and ground AA defence.

Show your tips-

With the G2A missiles. ONLY fire when the opponent is dead straight on OR you are aiming behind them. This works with HELIS too.

If your on the ground and someone is in a plane there are no tips for taking them down its just aim fire and its luck if you hit them (it is actually luck the missle will probbaly just fly off at random angles no where near the plane).
With choppers aim the stinger, wait for it to fire flares, wait for them to disappear, lock on and fire, then aim at the floor until it reloads so they think they are ok, then lock on and fire again, there flares shouldn't have reloaded, at this point 4 missles will probbaly have killed them or they will have uncontrolable crashed into the floor, or they will have gone out of range after the fire 2 missle so you couldn't fire the other two at them.

when you are on the ground its better off for u to not even attempt to blast the planes cuz its really hard but the helis are another story. I usually do exactly what psycho said and its really effective

Simple chart made back during 1.02 and going by this made taking down aircraft with AA pretty good for me.
The values were recieved in a long series of uncontrolled tests, enemy pilots usually aren't cooperative with me killing them.

The biggest point in lock-on missiles is The more the missile has to turn, the less of a chance it will make contact. But remember keeping locked onto a pilot who knows that spinning in a circle will make missile hits nearly impossible may not kill him, but surely slow his bombing everybody.

yea the stinger misslies and gla are the most accurate missiles for taking d0own airplanes...air to air missiles frim the jets akways miss for me ,but the stinger missiles..theyre dang determined

AA turrets are pathetic if a plane is coming towards you. You show up as a stationary square/triangle which can easily be hit by the gun on the jet.

I only take down planes with a plane. Sometimes I use the TV-Guided missiles on choppers if it's at the right angle, though.

I always thought that c4 was a good way to take down planes before they even make it 10 feet off the ground.

I've actually had the missles swerve and go around the planes when there was no chaff in the air. Very strange.

Yea, dont think theres much of a good way to take down a plain. I think THATS why people complain about them lol.

the best way is to fly up behind and let em have it with the cannon, one time i had prolly anoob bomber in the enimie plane he slowed down for his runs i took that time to fly overtop of him and then PUSH him into the ground thats verry effective on long narrow maps.
