I reinstalled BF2 before I installed 1.03 to avoid problems. The "update server list" button now works so I don't have to restart the game to get a refresh. If you can't write the server name in the box then just sort them alphabetically. To me the patch has been an improvement but the missiles still can't hit the broadside of a barn (unless it's a friendly!). I've been behind enemy planes which has flown in a straight line, fired missiles and seen them go past. Also if the enemy fighter makes a slight turn the missiles just go by. They are still crap, utter crap...
roll back?how?does the installation log the patching progress?i guess not.
.......
oh...uninstall the game,reinstall and patch 102.-_-!
103 is buggy but it's not worse than 102.
only thing i find somewhat annoying at this point is when enamy guys or team members are showing as the opposite, but thats where i need to learn what each team looks like, not really a big issue.
I still get shot even when I stand in a middle of a brightly lit field, screaming at my team to not shoot me and yet I still get shot repeatedly by the same teammate. Until the point where they get kicked... WOW.
But then I'm not doing myself any good by running around in circles with a knife and swinging at the air around my teammates. Good fun somtimes
Now lets look at 1.03. OK so they finally realised that they should have put a fav's list in which is Very good. But useless if you cant search for the GOD DAMN servers you would like to add to your favourites. Following the same procedure as in 1.02 i type Multiplay in and try and refresh or update server list and Absolutely NOTHING Happens. BF2 REFUSES to search. So i remove the text and then try to refresh or Update server list and nothing again !!
The only way i have of joining after this point is 1 of 3 ways :-
1) - Click the PLAY NOW button.
2) - Hope that 1 of the 3 Entered Favourite Servers are not full.
3) - Or just Quit BF2 and the Rejoin, so i get the standard list of servers again.
Why don't you put those servers that you like to play on in your FAVORITES list? That way when you login, just go to Multiplayer/Favorites. If you know the IP of the servers, then just click on JOIN IP. Then when you get in the game, Hit TAB key & up just to the right of the IP address at the top left, there is an arrow. Click on that & it will give you the option to ADD TO FAVORITES. Bingo! Next time you login, you can go to FAVS & it will be listed. Oh .. BTW, when you hold down the TAB key, you must right-click the mouse to get the cursor to show up.

You seem to have missed the point here !! I said in my original post, 1.03. Nice they've added a Favourites list. But whats the point if you can no longer SEARCH for the servers you want to add to your Favourites list !!!
Other than literally clicking down the ENTIRE list to see what server i want to add (which would take ages) i cant just simply add them by searching them !!
EA/DICE have messed up and it makes finding Multiplay/Jolt servers difficult. Of course when i do find one i do add it to my favourites but i SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEARCH for them like i could in 1.02 and before !!
