Is it time to roll back to 1.02?

It would seem that the 1.03 is even buggier than that of the 1.02 patch and I think that EA needs to drop everything else and get working on fixing their Frack up. This is really getting ridiculous and I am almost to the point of hanging up BF2 until they EA fixes their issue.

I don't find 1.03 to be any buggier, it's just not less buggy either. That's what bugs me. *drum fill*

I love it. No major complaints at all.

I wouldn't mind a roll back so I could play with my friend again (he has Windows 2000).

only thing i find somewhat annoying at this point is when enamy guys or team members are showing as the opposite, but thats where i need to learn what each team looks like, not really a big issue.

It's a big issue if they're in a vehicle or they're showing up red on your UAV and you can't see their uniforms (they're hidden in some brush, you're playing in a foggy level, etc.). Also a pain if they show up as red blips on your satellite sweep and you arty them because you think it's an enemy trying to take your base.

Rolling back will not only cripple your ability to play on regular servers, but you won't fix any problems you're seeing in 1.03, don't know what problems those are, since I've seen none so far.

Right, my post was in response to razor's, regarding differentiating between friendlies and enemies. Sorry, should have quoted him I guess. :P

Is the red name bug more prevalent in 1.03? I saw it around before the patch but now it seems like there's barely a round without someone on your team showing up as an enemy. Really sucks on wake island in a jet. I've taken out probably 3 or more jets/helicopters that gave me a TK even though they showed up as enemies and my missiles could lock on. :hmm:

Re: Is it time to roll back to 1.02?

The problem i am about to describe was NEVER a problem in 1.02. In fact it made searching for a server a JOY !!

For me in the UK on a Nildram ADSL connection, the best servers to use are Multiplay and JOLT servers. By simply typing in Multiplay into the Server Name box and then clicking the refresh/Update server list i would be welcomed with around 25-75 Multiplay servers to choose from. It was quick and easy.

Now lets look at 1.03. OK so they finally realised that they should have put a fav's list in which is Very good. But useless if you cant search for the GOD DAMN servers you would like to add to your favourites. Following the same procedure as in 1.02 i type Multiplay in and try and refresh or update server list and Absolutely NOTHING Happens. BF2 REFUSES to search. So i remove the text and then try to refresh or Update server list and nothing again !!

The only way i have of joining after this point is 1 of 3 ways :-

                          1) - Click the PLAY NOW button.
                          2) - Hope that 1 of the 3 Entered Favourite Servers are not full.
                          3) - Or just Quit BF2 and the Rejoin, so i get the standard list of servers again.
