It takes skill to fly the jet well, most people flying the jet I have seen bombs wayyy off target. Its the helicopters thats annoying, capping flags, spawn camping. Jets kill those pests.

I dont know how many times people said this. If you think it takes NO SKILL to fly the jet and kill you N times, why dont you grab a jet and fly it. Since it take no skill to fly it why arent you getting 30 kill and killing everything coming from the carrier? I have seen people like you thinking its easy to fly, grab the JSF and fly in straight lines, they are luck they even make it to shore.

Stop whining and get used to it, before long you will whine about anything that kill you that you dont know how to use.

It takes skill to bomb things with accuracy, but its to difficult to shoot jets down, period.

First off (and yes, I said this before), because I don't want to join the ranks of the plane campers. If I don't spawn closest to the jet chances are I won't be able to take it again for half the round. Second, I didn't say jets took no skill, I said no amount of skill, however, can make the jet pilot's job harder. This is not true with tanks, with good aim with the rocket launcher, quick thinking and well timed dodges, a foot soldier can make a tank drivers job a lot harder. As can the tank driver use aim and strategies to make the infantry's job harder. Unlike jets, in which it only works one way. I actually tried firing at a passing jet with my machine gun today. While I'm sure I was right on it atleast part of the time, I got no damage indicator. I seriously wouldn't be surprised if EA left out the code that would make jets damageable to infantry fire when in the air.

This guy is totaly right, air power dominates the game, its been proven before. The only thing that can kill a jet is a better jet pilot. Therefore, the team with the best jet pilot controls the sky, which usually translates into control of everything else.

This is easily why city maps with no or little air power are more common and popular than maps with wide open spaces (Clean sweep) and lots of airpower.

The AA missles actually predict and seek better, but you can still avoid them just by turning as hard as the thign will turn, which is very simple for even a novice jet pilot. The AA is not good enough, it still sucks against jets. MAybe it would be better if it was just as good at tracking as it is now, but it was about 2x faster at flying through the sky (as the missles actually are, like mach 3...) and maybe if you could actually target stuff as far away as you could see (600 meters about, where you cant target anythign 365 meters or farther away with AA) then the AA would be good.

I just got a awesom idea! Play somewhere where there isn't no "airpower" arn't I smart? Who would have thought that a simple map change, would solve your problem. Now quit blabbering, if you don't like the game don't play it. As for makeing the missels go at mach 3..... you might as well take the jets out of the game. Pilots will just be targets dodgeing missels. They will have to start droping bombs while turning hard.

You're right. Look at the popularity of "infantry maps" or maps that don't have jets on them - the number of hours people are putting on them is 2x or 3x the other maps.

Actually all they would need to do with AA missiles is have them explode when they are within 5m of their target. 90% of the missiles actually flyby their target within that range already then go off in some other weird direction or in some cases hit friendly aircraft.

I'm sorry, but pulling your stick back so you turn at your maximum shouldn't be ALL your need to do to evade AA missiles.

yeah buddy, same here... stick to small maps and karkland and other urban maps where there isn't any of those stupid jets.

It amazes me watching people flying for 30mins staight on a map, bomb, fly back reload, bomb, fly back reload, bomb.... for 30 mins. sad and lame.

Do you see what you wrote....you obviously have no care for the thoughts, opnions or enjoyment of anyone else...

Now I'm no ace pilot and I barely fly jets, but they are def part of the game and add to its experince...you sit there and say "Yeah I stick to the small maps and KARKAND" (you cant even spell the map right)...to me that is lame and boring if I wanted that I would play some Nova Logic crap game... look people like the jets, people like the small maps, people like the tanks, people like the helicopters, etc. etc. ....this game has a little bit foreveryone...just play the damn game and enjoy it

I'm a pilot, yet if you look in my stats(DiabeticMedic), it says my "favorite" map is Karkand. Care to guess why that is for me, and many others? Because it's far easier to rank up by lobbing a m203/tank shell/missile into a group of bunched up infantry than it is to rank up on a proper battlefield map such as Daqing or Zatar.

I've found that the tank whore or the medic reviver usually gets the best scores on Strike at Karkand, but that's just my experience.

I don't see how airpower is any different than armor whoring. i've seen armor whores on karkand get the same score as these 'impossible-to-kill ace pilots' that you are all crying about. It takes mad skill to rule in a jet and get more than 10-15 kills a game. It's a piece of cake to get that many in anything else.

However, I WILL agree with you poor pathetic victims on the ground in cleansweep - you guys get SOOOO rocked on that map, I love it. lol.

o thats nothing. Me and ReconSoc put up 216 points together in the su34 on Operation clean sweep. He was a damn good gunner. If i missed something with bombs, the second time around he wouldnt and vice versa. It was so much fun.
